Today our students enjoyed coming together for National Simultaneous Storytime 2026! 📚✨
This year’s story, Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller, follows rookie captain Luna Roo as she leads FC Outback in a thrilling football match, learning to overcome nerves, trust her teammates and believe in herself. It is a heartwarming story about courage, teamwork and determination.
There’s something extra special about sharing a story together, and today our students joined children across Australia to celebrate the joy of reading, imagination and connection.
It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying this special event. ❤️📖

As part of our celebration of National Reconciliation Week, our Year 1, 2, and 3 students were treated to a fantastic performance by the Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company.
Yirra Yaakin (which means "Stand Tall" in the Noongar language) is one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal theatre companies, and their visit was a wonderful way for our students to engage with First Nations storytelling.
The students watched a captivating story about a world where the stars began to fade from the night sky. To bring the stars' light back, a clever Dingo, a wise Emu, and a resourceful Crow embarked on a journey of connection. They successfully brightened the sky by sharing stories from Scotland, Spain, and India.
It was a beautiful tale of unity, showing our students, how sharing different cultures and global stories can bring us all closer together—a perfect message for Reconciliation Week! The theme for Reconciliation Week this year is ‘All In’.
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation.

🚸 Zebra Crossing Safety Reminder 🚸
To help keep all members of our school community safe, please remember the correct use of our zebra crossing.
✅ Stop and check for traffic before stepping onto the crossing
✅ Make eye contact with drivers to ensure they have seen you
✅ Walk safely across – do not run or ride bikes/scooters across
✅ Drivers must slow down and give way to pedestrians using the crossing
✅ Stay alert and avoid distractions such as mobile phones
Working together to use our zebra crossing safely helps create a safer environment for everyone before and after school. Thank you for doing your part to keep our school community safe. 💛
