Step back in time with our Year 2s! ⏳✨

On Thursday 19th March, students visited the Tea Tree Gully Heritage Museum as part of their HASS learning on the History of Technology. Through hands-on experiences like pumping water, washing clothes the old-fashioned way, and preparing food in a traditional kitchen, students discovered what everyday life was like before modern conveniences.

They also explored the challenges faced by early settlers and how technology—especially in farming—has changed over time. A fun and meaningful day bringing history to life!

🏊‍♀️ Horizon Swimming Carnival 💦

What a fantastic day at our annual Swimming Carnival held at the Balaklava Memorial Swimming Pool! With beautiful weather, plenty of cheering and lots of splashing, it was a great day of fun, friendly competition and House spirit.

Students enjoyed a mix of races and novelty events, from 25m and 50m swims to favourites like the Noodle Relay and the Big Splash. It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another and getting behind their House teams.

Our Year 4/5 students had a great time today for their Cross-Campus Learning Day hosted by our Clare Campus. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect together while working on activities and problem-solving challenges.

With so many smiles throughout the day, it was a great success! 😊

Water Play Day 💦☀️

Last Wednesday 26th Feb, we loved welcoming our Kindergym families for a wonderful morning of splashing, laughter and connection!

Our preschoolers had a fantastic time exploring and playing alongside their families and our Foundation students were thrilled to jump in and join the fun. There were big smiles, soaked hats and plenty of happy memories made.

Opportunities like these remind us how special it is to have facilities that allow our community to connect together and have fun.

Horizon Christian School has exclusively partnered with Open Access College (OAC) to grant Senior students the opportunity to meet their teachers face-to-face. Twice each year, our students are able to explore course content, and build real connections with their teachers that support their learning journey.

Students from our Clare and Balaklava campuses attend together, strengthening friendships and stepping confidently into their future pathways together.

Moments like these are all about opening doors and growing confidence… just one more way we’re creating endless possibilities for our students. ✨

Today looked a little different… and we loved it. 💛

Our very first Cross Campus Learning Day as one Horizon school, bringing students together to connect, collaborate and grow.

Across campuses, students teamed up to tackle challenges, stretch their thinking and encourage one another. Some created beautiful gifts for our upcoming Bali mission trip. Others put their memories to the test with the books of the Bible, while a few bravely wrestled some math problems!

New friendships were formed, teamwork was strengthened, and there was plenty of laughter along the way.

Stronger together. One Horizon. Endless possibilities.
