Kinder Kits for 2023 have officially dropped.

Each item has been selected to help new three-year-old kinder starters continue their play-based learning at home.

They're 100% locally made, so each pack is helping Victorian businesses too.

And the best bit - they're completely free, just like Kinder this year.

It’s not every day that the Prime Minister visits your kindergarten! We were honoured to welcome Anthony Albanese and Josh Burns to our centre. The children and staff loved story time with our special guest. You’re always welcome to stop by again for bush kinder or Spanish lessons.

Today, we were incredibly proud and delighted to welcome Australia's 31st Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to The Avenue for a visit.

The Prime Minister and federal member for Macnamara, Josh Burns MP, toured our centre, met staff and children, sang songs and read a book.

The kids will remember this day for the rest of their lives. 💕

Today we welcomed up to $12.6 million from the Victorian Government to help the City of Port Phillip redevelop our much-loved centre, as well as five others in the City of Port Phillip.

Through the Building Blocks initiative, the City of Port Phillip will partner with the Victorian Government to future-proof six much-loved early years education and care centres in the municipality.

This is a big change from almost 12 months ago, when our centre was staring down the barrel of a process to sell the building from which we operate.

Thank you to all the Committee of Management members, parents and friends of The Avenue for your support and encouragement during the last 11 months. We couldn't have achieved this amazing result with the actions you took in support of the campaign.

Now our focus will turn to working closely with the City of Port Phillip and the Victorian Schools Building Authority to plan the capital works project so that it is fit-for-purpose and takes into account the needs of children, staff and families of The Avenue.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stall today and bought some pre-loved goodies. We raised $$$ for our children’s centre and kindergarten.

The day wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our parents. So many volunteered to help prepare for and run today’s stall.

Our community of parents is special. It’s one of the best things about our centre.

Come say 👋 at the Elwood Community Market. We are selling pre-loved baby and kids clothing, toys and books. They are in great condition and priced to sell.

All funds raised will be re-invested into our centre to support the education and development of the children.
