๐ŸŒŸ EA Appreciation Week ๐ŸŒŸ

This week, weโ€™re celebrating and recognising our wonderful Education Assistants and the invaluable contribution they make to our school community.

On Monday, we held a special morning tea to celebrate our amazing EAs and to say a heartfelt thank you for everything they do each and every day.

Our Education Assistants play such an important role in supporting our students, helping them to learn, grow, build confidence and achieve their goals. They bring patience, kindness, encouragement and care to everything they do, often going above and beyond to make a difference.

The impact of our EA's reaches far beyond the classroom. They are trusted, valued and essential members of our school team and we are incredibly grateful for the dedication and care they show our students and one another.

Thank you to all of our incredible Education Assistants - we appreciate you, we value you and we are so lucky to have you as part of our school community!

Happy EA Appreciation Week ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฆ˜ A Day of Discovery at Perth Hills! ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒณ

Our students had a wonderful day out exploring, discovering and learning at their excursion to the Perth Hills Discovery Centre on Wednesday!

Students took part in two fantastic activities throughout the morning. They enjoyed exciting Animal Encounters, where they had the opportunity to learn more about native animals, their unique features and how they survive in their natural environments.

Students also completed an โ€œI Spyโ€ self-guided activity, putting their observation and inquiry skills to work as they explored their surroundings and discovered the amazing living things found in the Perth Hills.

After a busy morning of learning, they headed to Sculpture Park in Mundaring for lunch, some play time and a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before making our way back to school.

The excursion was a wonderful opportunity for our Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Years 2/3 students to bring their Science learning to life. They explored how native animals live, survive and interact with their environment while developing their observation, inquiry and recording skills.

Most importantly, students were encouraged to think about how we can all help care for and protect our native wildlife and their habitats.

If the photos are anything to go by, it looks like it was a fantastic day for everyone!

๐Ÿ“šโœจ Book Week โœจ๐Ÿ“š

What a busy and wonderful week it has been! From our Book Fair and Book Week activities to todayโ€™s very special Character Parade, our school has been filled with a love of books, reading and imagination.

A special thank you to Mrs Stewart and Mrs Scrivener for running our Book Fair yesterday and today. We really appreciate all the time, organisation and effort you put into making the Book Fair such a wonderful experience for our students and families.

Today was extra special as we celebrated Kindyโ€™s very first Character Parade and Year 6โ€™s very last one. ๐Ÿฅน We were absolutely blown away by the huge number of students and families who came along dressed as their favourite book characters. The costumes were incredible, creative and full of so much personality!

It was such a joy to see everyone parading their characters and sharing in such a fun morning together. There were smiles everywhere, and we loved celebrating the wonderful world of books with our school community.

We also have to give a huge shout-out to our Instrumental Music students! What an amazing performance they gave this morning. A very big thank you to their incredibly talented teacher, Ms Vivian, for leading and inspiring our young musicians.

And finally, a huge thank you to all our parents and families for the time, creativity and hard work that went into putting together the amazing costumes. We also really appreciate you joining us this morning and helping make the parade such a memorable occasion.

What a fantastic way to finish a wonderful Book Week!

Thank you for helping us celebrate a love of reading, creativity, music and community in such a special way. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ซ
