๐ฟ๐ฆ A Day of Discovery at Perth Hills! ๐พ๐ณ
Our students had a wonderful day out exploring, discovering and learning at their excursion to the Perth Hills Discovery Centre on Wednesday!
Students took part in two fantastic activities throughout the morning. They enjoyed exciting Animal Encounters, where they had the opportunity to learn more about native animals, their unique features and how they survive in their natural environments.
Students also completed an โI Spyโ self-guided activity, putting their observation and inquiry skills to work as they explored their surroundings and discovered the amazing living things found in the Perth Hills.
After a busy morning of learning, they headed to Sculpture Park in Mundaring for lunch, some play time and a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before making our way back to school.
The excursion was a wonderful opportunity for our Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Years 2/3 students to bring their Science learning to life. They explored how native animals live, survive and interact with their environment while developing their observation, inquiry and recording skills.
Most importantly, students were encouraged to think about how we can all help care for and protect our native wildlife and their habitats.
If the photos are anything to go by, it looks like it was a fantastic day for everyone!
