What a wonderful evening we had at our Dundula State School Art Show last night! 💙💚

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible P&C, who worked so hard behind the scenes to help make the evening such a success. Your time, effort and support of our school community is truly appreciated. 🌟

A very special thank you also goes to Miss Katie, who did a fantastic job guiding our students and beautifully showcasing the wonderful artworks they have been creating. 🎨🖌️

We would also like to extend a huge thank you to our talented staff who generously donated their own beautiful pieces of artwork to be auctioned on the night. Your generosity and creativity added something extra special to the evening, and we are so grateful for your support. 🖼️💕

It truly was amazing to walk around and see the incredible creativity, imagination and talent of our students on display. Every piece was unique, and our students should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. 🥰👏

Thank you to all of our families, friends and community members who came along to support our students and our school. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the evening and celebrating our talented young artists.

At Dundula State School, we believe creativity is so much more than just art — it can be found everywhere! 💙💚

Creativity can shine through in the classroom as students explore new ways of learning, thinking and problem-solving. It can come alive in the playground through imaginative play, building, creating and working together. 🌟

Every student has their own unique way of expressing ideas, exploring possibilities and bringing their imagination to life.

🎨✨ IT’S ART SHOW NIGHT AT DUNDULA STATE SCHOOL! ✨🎨

Come along tonight from 5:00pm and support our wonderful school and enjoy a relaxed evening with wine and cheese 🍷🧀 while you wander through the displays and see all the fantastic artwork our students have been busy creating.

🖼️ Purchase your child’s artwork and take home a special keepsake. Cash and card will be available.
🔨 There will also be selected artworks up for auction, so make sure you check them out!

🌊🐠 Exploring Ocean Acidification & Coral Bleaching 🪸🔬
Our Year 5/6 students have been diving deep into their learning about ocean acidification, coral bleaching, threats to marine habitats and fish species, and coral degradation.
As part of their assessment investigations, students conducted a hands-on experiment to explore the effects of acidification on coral and shells. Over several weeks, they placed samples in vinegar and seawater, carefully measuring and recording changes in their weight and observing what happened over time. 🧪📊
This investigation has helped students develop a greater understanding of how changes in ocean conditions can affect coral reefs, marine habitats and the many species that rely on these ecosystems for survival. 🌏🐟
A fantastic way to bring science to life through investigation, observation, data collection and real-world learning! 💙💚

📚✨ BOOK WEEK PARADE 2026! ✨📚

What a wonderful day we had celebrating Book Week at Dundula State School today! 🌟

Our students looked absolutely fabulous in their amazing costumes, bringing some of their favourite book characters to life. 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️👸🐛📖 There was so much colour, creativity and excitement on display during our beautiful Book Week Parade!

A huge thank you to our families for the time, effort and creativity that went into putting together such fantastic costumes. 💚💙

We would also like to give a very special thank you to Miss Jodie and Miss Danielle for all their hard work setting up our wonderful Book Fair. 📚✨ It looks fantastic, and we really appreciate everything you have done to make it such a special part of our Book Week celebrations!

We loved seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces and celebrating our love of books, reading and imagination together.

What an exciting day at Dundula State School as we welcomed our wonderful 2027 Prep students for their first Prep Transition visit! 💙💚

Our future Preppies arrived full of excitement and quickly began exploring their new school, joining in fun activities and making new friends. It was wonderful to see their smiles and full of curiosity 🥰

From the moment they arrived, our little learners were made to feel right at home. These special visits help our children build connections, feel a sense of belonging and get ready for their exciting Prep journey in 2027! 🎒✏️

We loved having you with us and can’t wait to welcome you back for our next visit! 💚💙

🥞 Learning is Delicious in Year 1/2! 🥞
Our Year 1/2 students have been busy learning all about procedures — how to follow and sequence clear steps to achieve a successful result.
What better way to put their learning into practice than by making pancakes! 🥞👩‍🍳👨‍🍳
The students did a fantastic job following each step of the procedure, measuring and mixing their ingredients, cooking their pancakes and, of course, enjoying the delicious finished product! 😋
A wonderful hands-on way to demonstrate their procedural skills while having lots of fun along the way. 💚 💙
