What do you see when you look at children’s marks and drawings? Here at Harmony Bahrs Scrub we see so much more than lines or scribbles on a page - we see expression, we see children making sense of the world around them and we see children who are curious to share their stories as they learn through play. From our youngest learners to our oldest learners, each child has individual thoughts and ideas and are given time, without been rushed, to represent these.

Inviting provocations support children to investigate materials, and gain an understanding of how different textures produce different outcomes. When children are offered access to a variety of materials which they help choose, we are supporting them to build a sense of agency as we see them as capable and confident learners.

We were so excited to have Teralba Bees visit us today. We learnt so much about the importance of bees in our environment. We also learnt that bees have five eyes and four wings. Did you know that bees have favourite colours?? They are blue and purple and they don’t like the colour black - this is because of bears - the bees we learnt about were European Bees.
