📚🫧 Book Week Adventures in Toddlers! 🫧📚

Our Toddler children during Book Week had lots of fun engaging in a baby wash station! 🛁💦

Inspired by one of the stories we love, the children enjoyed washing, splashing and caring for the little babies as they explored water through imaginative and sensory play. 💙

With lots of busy hands and curious minds, the children experimented with water, bubbles and different textures while developing their fine motor skills, coordination and confidence.

It was wonderful to see the children caring for their little babies, sharing the experience with friends and creating their own stories along the way. 🥰

We love how Book Week gives our children opportunities to take the stories they hear and turn them into hands-on experiences filled with imagination, connection and discovery! 📖✨

Breaking open fortune cookies to reveal their "future," the team shared plenty of laughs, excitement, and anticipation for the year ahead. We can't wait to see our educators bring their passion, creativity, and enthusiasm into their new learning environments as we prepare for another amazing year of growth, connection, and learning.

🌸🎨 Welcoming Spring with Colour! 🎨🌸

Our Toddler 1 children have been celebrating the arrival of spring with a beautiful flower painting experience! 🌼💕

With paintbrushes, colourful paints and lots of imagination, the children enjoyed creating their own bright and beautiful flowers.

As they painted, the children explored colours, textures and creativity, while developing their fine motor skills and confidence in expressing their ideas through art. 🎨✨

Experiences like these also provide wonderful opportunities to connect with the natural world and notice the changes that come with a new season. 🌱🌸

A little something special for our Mecwacare friends

Our Kinder children are out to visit Mecwacare , so we got busy creating some beautiful pictures to take along and share with the residents!

We had everything from families and gardens to colorful rainbows and some very silly faces

We chatted about how something as simple as a picture can brighten someone’s day and make them smile.

We’re looking forward to getting out into our local community, spending time with the residents and building some beautiful intergenerational connections.

🌟 A Child's Voice Supporting Child Safety 🌟

At Journey Early Learning Bacchus Marsh, child safety is everyone's responsibility.

While our visitor lanyards have been part of our safeguarding practices for some time, we've recently refreshed them with artwork created by one of our kindergarten children, making them more meaningful and child-friendly.

These special lanyards help children easily recognise when someone is visiting our service and support important conversations about safe adults, belonging, and keeping children safe.

By including children's voices in our safeguarding practices, we're making safety visible, understandable, and empowering for our children every day. 💙

Jay the Journey 'J' has set out on a grand adventure to see all the exciting learning happening at the Journey services across Australia.
He will be visiting many Journey services as well as spending time at Journey HQ as he learns all things Journey. He is so excited to see what amazing things are happening. On his journey, he will be accompanied by his scrapbook, where he will share photos and messages from the people he meets.

💛🌈 R U OK? Day in Nursery One 🌈💛

Even our littlest learners can begin exploring the wonderful world of emotions and feelings.

For R U OK? Day, our Nursery One educators created beautiful displays featuring a range of different emotions and colours for the children to discover. 😊😢😡🥰

Our little ones enjoyed looking closely, reaching out and gently touching the different emotions displayed around the room. They explored the colours, faces and expressions, beginning to build an understanding that we can all experience different feelings.

These simple experiences create opportunities for our children to develop emotional awareness, connection and empathy from an early age. 💕 Through our everyday interactions, we help children learn that all feelings are important and that caring for one another starts with noticing, connecting and being there for each other.

At Journey, we believe it’s never too early to start building a culture of kindness, connection and care. 🌱💛

Our toddlers have been getting creative with some very special little artists — dinosaurs! 🦖💚

Using dinosaur toys to stamp and print with paint, the children explored colour, patterns and texture while creating their very own prehistoric masterpieces. 🌈

This simple, hands-on experience encouraged our toddlers to experiment, make choices and discover what happens when they press, move and stamp the dinosaurs across the page.

We love experiences like this that combine creativity, curiosity and sensory exploration, while supporting little hands as they develop their fine motor skills and confidence as young artists. ✨
