🌿 Sometimes, finding your people starts with a stick, a shared idea and a little space to be yourself.

As parents, we want our children to feel the joy of belonging. To have someone who’s pleased to see them. Someone who shares their excitement, laughs at their jokes or asks, “Want to build this with me?”

For some children, those connections take time...and sometimes also need a little support.

At Bush Magic, shared adventures give friendships somewhere to begin. Building a shelter. Exploring the creek. Inventing a game that grows bigger every week.

There’s room to watch before joining, to connect through doing, and to find others who share your interests. Our team is there to help children join in, communicate what they need and work through the tricky moments that are part of learning to be friends.

We can’t promise instant friendships. But we can create opportunities for children to feel welcomed, understood and valued as they are.

Term 4 bookings are open

🌿Bush School | Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
🌿After School Nature Immersion | Wednesday.

Located at Don’s Farm, Avondale.

Term 4 is here, and the bush is ready for another big season of adventure.

Whether your child is brand new to Bush Magic or already knows their way around, there’s a place for them here.

🌿 Little Explorers | 3–6 years
🌿 Bush School | 5–13 years
🌿 After School | 5–14 years
🌿 Community Program | 0–4 years

Based at Don’s Farm, Avondale.

Expect days filled with exploring, creating, learning and plenty of time in the bush. Campfires, shelter building, bushcraft, flint and steel, archery, music, bush walks, creek play, nature adventures and so much more.

But it’s not just about what we do. It’s about what happens along the way.

Confidence grows. Friendships form. Curiosity takes over. Independence builds. And kids get the space to be themselves, connect with others and discover what they’re capable of.

We love springtime 🌼

The warmer days bring so much life back into the bush, and suddenly there’s something new to notice around every corner.

A water dragon.
A frog in the creek.
A spider fixing its web.

And just like that, the bush becomes our classroom.

Curiosity leads the way, questions naturally follow, and lessons organically unfold from what the children are seeing, wondering about and discovering for themselves.

This is the magic of learning outdoors.

1 ✨They become more emotionally regulated
Nature gives their minds space to slow down, reset and regulate.

2 ✨Their confidence grows
Every challenge they navigate helps them trust themselves a little more.

3 ✨Their creativity soars
Open-ended play in nature gives their imagination room to take over.

4 ✨Their immune system gets stronger
Time outdoors supports healthy immune development and wellbeing.

5 ✨Their social skills grow
Playing together teaches them to communicate, cooperate and solve problems.

Because sometimes, the best thing kids can do is simply be outside. 🌿

Our school holiday program isn’t just about getting outdoors. It’s about what happens when kids have the space to explore, create and connect.

This week Mark brought his saxophone, and the kids played the drums.

Music gives kids another way to express themselves, build confidence, connect with others and simply have fun.

Sometimes the best moments are the ones you never planned. Just simple drums set up outside.

A little music.
A lot of nature.
And kids being completely themselves.
