This October, Chris is teaming up with family and friends as Team K***a Osa to run 200km+ for autism awareness and support.

As both a parent and a sibling of autistic family members, Chris knows firsthand how hard it can be to navigate a world built for neurotypical people—and they're doing something about it.

Here is how the challenge works:
The Base: $350 fundraising goal
The Punishment: For every single dollar raised above $350, the team adds another 500 metres to their running total.

Do it for a fantastic cause, or do it purely for the entertainment value of making Chris run until he can't feel his legs.

DONATE, SHARE, and let’s see how far we can make Team K***a Osa go!

We're running 70km this October? Because 70% of Autistic people face mental health challenges. We're running towards a more inclusive world where Autistic Australians have the opportunity to thrive. 🏃‍♀️ RSR Coaching: September Recap 🏃‍♂️

Wake me up when September ends! It’s honestly sped up and
flown by, and there is far too much goodness to celebrate. From ultra journeys
along the coast to local road races and incredible volunteer efforts, our RSR
Community keeps showing up, digging deep, and inspiring.

Here is what our runners and legends have achieved so far this month:
🏃‍♂️ Local Races & Strong Performances
The Last Lighthorse (Ultra Series WA): Our RSR athletes and friends dug deep in this tough, timed loop endurance challenge! Especially with the overnight downpours.

In the 24hr event, Tom Rad placed 2nd overall with a whopping 213.28km accrued. All that training paid off, and as always, Tom was chipper throughout. 🤗
Thanks to his support in Aaron Young & Tom Hughson

In 4th position, with a distance PB of 193.69 km, was Alan Williams
Al’s consistency and training have truly paid off. He also got to run the experience with his brother, Laurence. And supported by his family. What a great Father’s Day! 🙌🏽

Congratulations to Dionettte for taking out the Women’s podium. 🏅

And huge shoutouts to Carolin, Linda, Kevin, Jamie (Chemie Banger) in his
wonderful white tights, Gurung Kiran for running in his full kit, Morgan, Abdul-Raouf with
all of his costumes, Smiles get the Miles Bradley, Kris, Chris Earley and Steve Westover.

In the relay 24hr, huge props to the team of Katie, Janet, Sharon and Sonya.
And to Belinda for all of her support in being medic and crewing for all of her friends.

In the 12 hours – congrats to Ammar Mahmood.

The 6hr runners: it was a delight to see Berenice Lawrie, and see
Craig Pilkington assist his friend to a 50km+ run and a 4th place overall.

Finally, in the 3hr, the lovely Julia Mackay got her 23.31km and, as always, brought the
vibes and the outfits. ❤️

Well done to other locals running: Tanya, Fiona, Noel Wright, Nic de Goede, to name a
few

3 Valleys (Runningworks): Great running by David White on a demanding course; the photos don’t do it justice.

Col Junner (WAMC): Excellent representation by our WAMC local legends.
Bibra Lakes Run: Solid, fast efforts put in by Big Kev (6km) and Claudia Seke Mike Kowal (12km)!
The Bloody Long Walk: Well done to Lauren, Kristie Renie and Michelle and everyone who took on the 35km challenge for a great cause! 🚶‍♀️

🏆 Podium & Ultra Milestones
Mighty Jarrah Trail Run: Huge performance by Caroline Fenton, earning a brilliant 3rd Place Female finish in the 21km Almighty! 🥉
Mighty Jarrah Volunteers & Multi-Sport: A massive thanks to Chemie for giving back and
volunteering on course, and a shout-out to Brett Griffiths for crushing the event on the
bike as part of the Dwellingup100! 🚴‍♂️

Surf Coast Century (Rapid Ascent): Major props to Matt for tackling this iconic 100km coastal ultra course - for another year! PB, no
matter the illness.

Sunset Coast Half Marathon: Well done to Damien McVeigh in the marathon, Jackie
Jacqueline Kelly, and Jason Diss in the Half Marathon. A notable shout-out to
Robert Vowles, who fortunately/unfortunately was a DNS.

Women's Classic: it was the 40th rendition of the event, and one of my last races two years ago before my injury cycle. The day was spectacular, and the WAMC turned it on in PINK. 🎀

Vietnam Mountain Race: Aaron Stone had such a mentally and physically challenging race ever, with mud so unrunnable even on the flats. Finishing in the top 100 out of a field of 1400 runners, many of whom DNF due to the conditions.
Excellent effort in a slip n slide of a time!

City2Bay Adelaide: Alyce Kerr ran her heart out in the sub-50 field for the 12km distance. Finishing with a 10km PB and a huge 12km PB. Absolute weapon. 💥

And congratulations to everyone who took part in the inaugural Runningworks Beachside event in Port Kennedy.

Together we are better. 💙

On Saturday 3rd October, we’re running 58km around Aveley parkrun, raising awareness of the 58 people diagnosed with breast cancer every day in Australia.

Devastatingly 1 in 7 women will develop breast cancer, and men aren’t immune either.
So we would love you to come along and support us!

💗 Wear pink to parkrun
💗 Walk a lap or run a few kilometres
💗 Come and give us a high five!
💗 Stop for a chat
💗 Buy a cupcake, raffle ticket or book and help us raise funds
💗 Most importantly, start conversations with the people you love. “Have you checked your b***s? booked your overdue mammogram. Etc.”
💗check yourself and be breast aware

You don’t have to run 58km or run at all! Just being there makes a difference. 💗
📅 Saturday 3rd October
⏰ 6:30 am we’ll start running . Park run starts at 8am . Come anytime!
📍 Location: Central Park, Aveley WA 6069 (by the Adventure Park/BBQs

If you know someone affected by breast cancer, tell us their name, we’ll be running for them too. 💕💪🏼💕
Last year’s support was incredible. This year, let’s make it even bigger and even more pink! 🎀

We can’t change the world, but one conversation can change the world for someone.
(I so wish someone had this chat with Yvette 💔)

Thank you so much
. 💗

RSR Athletes tested and answered...
Hex Energy 🍯

Steve Smith "I tried the HEX Energy gel on a 70km ride, and it paired well with my carb drink. It has a genuine honey flavour, and I had no GI issues.
It's a little thicker but still easy to consume.
My only suggestion would be packaging that s a bit easier to open on the move. Overall it's a great product that I'd happily explore further"

Kevin Puffette - "I liked them. Original was the clear winner for me as it tasted more natural. The caffeinated one was good but had a bit more of an artificial taste. "
Kevin Puffette

Tom Davies - "I liked the HEX Energy Original.gel. It has a good consistency, isn't overly sweet, and sat well with not gut issues. I also like the packet shape and found it easy to use"
Tom

Aaron Stone - "I gave the gel a go during a long training run on the Bibbulmun. Trying the HEX Energy caffienated gel - which, in my personal preference, is not for me. It is definitely a marketable alternative with many people that will support this more natural energy source. "

🏃‍♂️ There are officially just three months left of 2026—and everyone belongs on this starting line! 🏃‍♀️

Hey Ellenbrook & Surrounding Community! 👋
Whether you’ve never run a single step, are pushing a pram, walking with your dog, or simply want a safe, welcoming group to move your body with, our Free Adult Run Club is built for you. We have been around since December 2022, and are here for you - every step of the way!

We know taking that first step into a run group can feel intimidating. That’s why we’ve built a supportive, inclusive space where your age, speed, or experience level never matters—only showing up for yourself does.

🤝 What Makes Our Community Different:
❤️ 100% Inclusive & Zero-Pressure: All ages, abilities, strollers, kids, and fur-babies on leads are warmly welcomed! Fast, slow, walk-and-run, or strictly walking—everyone belongs here. You will never be left behind.

🛡️ Safe & Open Environment: Our sessions take place along the open, flat paths at Ellenbrook District Open Space. You get to move safely within a supportive group rather than exercising alone in the dark.

🙌 Unmatched Local Support: A friendly community and certified local coach in your corner, offering gentle encouragement, pacing tips, and injury-prevention advice so you can progress safely at your own pace.

🍕 ☕️Connection Beyond the Path: We love the social side as much as the movement! We frequently stick around for a casual coffee or dinner together after session to catch up and unwind.

🗓️ FREE ADULT RUN CLUB SCHEDULE
📍 Tuesdays: 5:30 AM – 6:30 AM @ District Open Space
📍 Thursdays: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM @ District Open Space

(Looking for something more structured? For those who want it, RSR Coaching also offers optional, personalised 4-week training blocks to help you safely work toward specific running goals!)
Let's make these final three months of the year about feeling good, making connections, and moving together.

📩 Send us a direct message or drop a comment below—we’d love to welcome you out for your very first session!
