This week, students across Australind Senior High School took part in our latest Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) lesson, focusing on what it means to be Responsible by arriving at class on time and ready to learn.
Being punctual and prepared might seem like a small thing, but it makes a real difference. Having the right equipment and arriving on time helps students settle quickly, make the most of their learning time and get more from each lesson.
These are also habits that matter well beyond the classroom. Whether it is turning up for training, meeting friends or arriving at work, being on time and prepared shows responsibility and respect for others.
Families can help reinforce this message by having a conversation at home about the routines that make it easier to get to class on time and with everything needed for the day.
Through PBS, we continue to teach and uphold our expectations of being Respectful, Kind and Responsible at school and beyond. To learn more about PBS please visit https://australind.wa.edu.au/student-wellbeing/pbs/
