How do you science? 🔬🚀
That was the big question at our school this week as we celebrated National Science Week 2026! Our classrooms were buzzing with curiosity, collaboration, and hands-on discovery.
To kick off our major highlights, our Year 6 students from LA17 and LA18 packed their bags for an exciting day on Wednesday at Australind Senior High School. They participated in ASHS's Science Week STEM student led activities and were highly engaged all day, diving into complex challenges and showing off their amazing problem-solving skills! 🧬🧠
Meanwhile, all other classes have been exploring science and sustainability through beautiful picture storybooks. Each class is diving deep into a set of focus questions to explore how they can protect our planet. We will be compiling and sharing their insights in the next newsletter! 🌱📖
We finished off our incredible week by welcoming the brilliant Year 8 students from the Eaton Community College Year 8 Inspire programme. They visited LA17, LA18 and LA21 to run an out-of-this-world workshop, where our students worked as a team to solve a critical contamination problem on a space station. 🧑🚀🌌
