Dear parents,

We are very excited to announce that from this Monday the 8th of November, Hoxton tutoring will be reopening!

We are now accepting new enrollments and we are ready to welcome all students and parents back.

Our centre, staff, and tutors are all following COVID safe procedures as outlined under the NSW health guidelines to ensure we can provide a safe environment for all. This includes requiring everyone that enters the building to sign in with the QR code provided, to social distance, wear masks, and use the avaliable hand sanitisers.

Welcome back, everyone!

It’s always difficult after the holidays to get back into the swing of studying. That’s why some of our tutors here at Hoxton Tutoring have compiled their top 5 study tips to help our students feel better prepared for classes now that the break is over.

1) Revise content - This is especially important if you are in year 12 as the content you learnt in Term 4 last year is examinable!

2) Get a study buddy - Having someone who will keep you on task and motivated is really beneficial. Especially at the start of the new year when we’re all still in holiday mode.

3) Organise yourself - Your study space should be set up to allow for maximum study efficiency, while also minimising distractions. Having a study timetable nearby will also be handy!

4) Take it slow and easy - Don't get upset with yourself if you can't immediately work as much as you'd like, you’ll get there eventually.

5) Ask for help - Your teachers, parents, friends, and tutors all want to help you and see you succeed and achieve your goals! Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help if things are getting too difficult.

Welcome back, everyone!
Hoxton Tutoring will be commencing our lessons on the 1st of February 2021.

COVID-19 has caused many students to experience difficult educational setbacks. So it is important now, more than ever, that students are able to receive the education they deserve. Supplementary lessons provided by tutoring centres are therefore critical to your child's continued success in school.

Our centre is dedicated to following COVID safety plans and keeping our students, staff, and parents safe. Therefore, we ask our parents to please ensure that they are wearing a mask when using the waiting room.

Congratulations to all our students for their exceptional effort and results last term. Although it was a difficult term we are proud of your commitment to study, and the results you achieved.

Hoxton Tutoring will continue to enforce social distancing measures in Term 3. This means that there will be a limited number of students per class, whilst maintaining our high standard of teaching. As a result, enrolments will be limited.

The HSC 2020 will continue!

What does this mean for our students?

Hoxton Tutoring is working to develop the best strategy for our students. Following your feedback, we will not be making pre-recorded lectures, as we do not believe this is the best way for our students to learn. We believe students need to be engaged with their tutors, and ask questions as the lessons progresses.

Currently, we are working on moving our classroom online. This will maintain face-to-face teaching and allow our students to be involved in the lesson. We believe this is the best way for students to continue their work, and not be disadvantaged by the closures.

We are committed to supporting our local schools and students, and will be doing what we can to help our students during quarantine.

To the students, parents and staff of Hoxton Tutoring,
Following the recent Coronavirus ( COVID-19) announcement, we believe it is in our communities’ best interest to stop classes at Hoxton Tutoring. This was a difficult decision to make. However, our highest priority is the health of our students, staff and parents.

We would like to remind our students that they are not alone. Hoxton tutoring continues to remain dedicated to our students, and we will provide all the support we can to you in these challenging times. The situation is changing daily, and we will keep you updated regularly. For now, this is what we can let you know:

1. Re-opening
Hoxton Tutoring will re-open when we are certain it is safe to do so. This will be based on government and health-officials advice. We will post our latest updates on social media for re-opening dates. We will also contact parents via email to inform you.

2. Payment.
For parents who have set up a direct debit payment, all payments will stop from the last class your child has attended. Parents who have an outstanding fee can you please contact me through email dgoorkiz@yahoo. com.au , so we organise the payment method. I know some families are struggling financially and I’ll do my best to reduce the stress.

3. Study
Given only 2 weeks remain of our term, we will not be moving classes online at this time. We believe that our students are already faced with a lot of change, and it will be in their best interest to allow them time to adapt to this. However, we will be providing e-mail assistance for questions that students may have. We will not be charging for this service. Please contact Diana, if you would like to be provided with email assistance.

4. Senior Classes: 11 and 12
To our senior students. We are especially sorry that you must face this challenge, during an already stressful year. We are here to help. As stated, we will be providing e-mail assistance and solutions with your studies. Please continue working hard, as you have been doing! Leading up to Term 2, we will contact you to arrange how we will tackle the remainder of your senior years. The situation is changing daily, but we will do our best to keep you updated.

This is an uncertain and challenging time, but we are here to help you through your studies. Please let us know if you need any other assistance with your studies, and we will do what we can to help. You are not alone.

Finally, we would like to thank your staff for their exceptional efforts, and ongoing dedication throughout this time.

Congratulations on completing another school year! We would like to wish all parents and students a safe and enjoyable holiday. We are proud of all the amazing results our students have received , and for all their hard work. Well done!

We would also like to congratulate our year 12 students who have received phenomenal results, and are awaiting their offers for University.

School reports may be a stressful time. Occasionally students may feel overwhelmed by the feedback they have received from their teachers. Wherever you performed exceptionally well or need more assistance, the staff at Hoxton Tutoring are here to help.

We would like to congratulate Emanuel on his outstanding achievements in his H.S.C and his entrance into Medicine. Well done!
..

Through the excellent tuition and extensive resources provided by Hoxton Tutoring , I was able to build the confidence and ability necessary to be a high achiever in Extension 1 and 2 Mathematics.

I really enjoyed the small classroom environment, which felt personalised and attended to each student’s needs. The constant support beyond the class room kept me motivated through the difficult HSC experience.

As a result, I was able to get into my dream degree. I am really looking forward to start studying Medicine!
