💡✨ Passing the Light of Leadership ✨💡

At this afternoon's Whole College Assembly, we gathered for our Leadership Handover Liturgy, marking both an ending and a beginning.

For our Class of 2026, it was their final procession into and out of assembly alongside the whole College community. As they prepare to conclude their journey at StAC, we offered them the Blessing of St Augustine and our heartfelt thanks for their leadership, service and example.

In a powerful symbol of continuity, the first for the College, our 2026 student leaders passed the light of leadership to the Class of 2027, reminding us that leadership at StAC is a legacy carried across generations of students and brings everyone together.

At our Whole College Assembly today , we were proud to recognise our Term 3 Spirit of StAC Award recipients Jason, Lawrence, Lucas and Emogen. 👏

These students have consistently demonstrated dedication to their learning and embodied the values of St Augustine through their words, actions and interactions with others. Their commitment to living out Unitas, Veritas and Caritas helps strengthen the positive and welcoming culture of our College community.

The smiles continued today as students visited our Father's Day Stall to find the perfect gift for the special fathers and father figures in their lives. ☺️

🌿🖤💛❤️ Today, StAC proudly hosted the BCE Western Corridor Cultural Education Day for 2027, welcoming students from a range of BCE primary schools across our cluster, along with our own StAC Primary and Secondary Deadly Crew.

🤝✨ It was a wonderful day of participation, listening and learning, with students embracing the opportunity to make new friends, connect with students from other BCE schools, and build meaningful connections with the Deadly Ngutana Lui and BCE First Nations Support staff.

💫 A heartfelt thank you to all the teachers, staff and students who helped create such a special opportunity for connection, culture and community.

🔥 A special thank you also to Javier Thompson from Yugara Education Services for generously sharing a Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country, ensuring we began the day feeling strong, grounded and connected on Country.

💻🚗 Science Students Get Hands-On at QUT! 🚗💻

Our science students recently had the exciting opportunity to attend a Python programming workshop at QUT, where they learned to code their own small robotic cars! 🤖✨

Working through real coding challenges, students debugged their programs and watched their creations come to life on the track. The hands-on experience helped bring programming concepts to life in a fun and engaging way, with many students leaving inspired to explore coding and robotics even further. 🌟

A fantastic experience for our budding scientists, programmers, and problem-solvers! 👏🔬💡

The Father's Day Stall simply wouldn't be possible without the generosity, time, and energy of our incredible volunteer team from our Events and Social Engagement Committee. From setting up and helping students choose the perfect gift, to creating a welcoming experience for everyone, your continued support helps make this event so special and successful every year.

St Augustine’s College is excited to welcome Dr Justin Coulson in just one week for an important and engaging evening focused on 'Consent & Staying Safe.'
Hosted by the Parent Advisory Group (PAG) Learning & Wellbeing Committee, this is a fantastic opportunity for parents and caregivers to hear from one of Australia’s leading parenting and wellbeing experts.

As one of Australia’s leading parenting experts, founder of Happy Families and a regular parenting contributor on Channel Nine, Dr Coulson will share practical, research backed strategies to help parents navigate the challenging topics with our young people around consent and staying safe. Dr Coulson will provide a clear and compassionate road map that you will not want to miss!

💙💛❤️ As we celebrated StAC Week and the Feast Day of St Augustine, parents joined us for a truly special evening of faith, fellowship and connection.

From an inspiring pilgrimage prayer walk exploring the life of St Augustine, the places he journeyed, the people who shaped him, and the many he inspired, to a highly entertaining and informative presentation by Fr Saldie on the Augustinian formation and perspective of Pope Leo XIV, the evening offered a unique opportunity to deepen our connection with our patron saint and those around him, our faith tradition, and one another.

✨ More than an event, it was a journey through the Augustinian spirit that continues to inspire hearts today.

🎉🏃‍♀️🏐 What a fantastic week of fun, laughter and movement as we celebrated HPE Week! 💙💛❤️

As part of their Year 11 Sport and Recreation assessment, our students took the lead in planning and hosting a week of activities designed to get everyone moving, having fun and enjoying being active. 👏🙌

From 🏃 Rob the Nest and ⚽ Kick Ball to 💥 Bull Rush, 🚩 Capture the Flag and 💃 Just Dance, there was something for everyone! The best part? Students were outside, having fun with their friends and, most importantly, moving their bodies! ☀️🤝😊

HPE Week was a great reminder that physical activity doesn't have to feel like exercise. 💪✨ Moving our bodies can be fun, social and something we look forward to. Being active supports our physical health, wellbeing, energy levels and overall happiness. 🌟❤️

A huge congratulations to our Year 11 Sport and Recreation students for putting together such an engaging week and creating opportunities for so many students to get involved. 👏🏆 Thank you as well to the many students who enthusiastically participated and helped make the week such a success! 🎉🙌
