🚌🌟 Prep–Year 2 Charleville Excursion 🌟🚌

Our Prep–Year 2 students had a fantastic day out in Charleville last Friday, visiting the RFDS Base, Bilbies, WWII Museum, Charleville Airfield Museum and Graham Andrews Park.

These experiences were not only lots of fun, but also supported our English curriculum learning, as students explored and reviewed places in our local area.

A big thank you to Miss Wade, Mrs Briggs and Miss Emily for all the work that went into organising the excursion and for making sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable day!

📣 School Opinion Survey – Deadline Extended!

There’s still time to have your say! The Department has extended the School Opinion Survey deadline, and families now have until this Friday, 28 August to complete the survey.

We really value your feedback and hope all of our families will take a few minutes to let us know what we are doing well and where we can improve. Your feedback helps us continue to shape a positive learning environment for all of our students.

Survey links have been emailed directly to parents and a reminder email from the Department was sent this morning. If you need any assistance accessing the survey, please contact the school office. We are also able to provide a QR code if you can't locate your email.

📚✨ What a Wonderful Book Week Parade! ✨📚

This morning was a fantastic celebration of stories, imagination and the joy of reading as our students proudly paraded as their favourite book characters. It was wonderful to hear the special connections students had made with their chosen characters and to see the creativity and effort that went into so many amazing costumes.

In our Year 3–6 class, Ardie and Hazel were recognised for the thoughtful connections they made to their characters and books, while in our K–2 class, Eloise and Beau were congratulated. Our Colouring-in Competition winners were Michaela and Ella, with Rivaah and Mac receiving place-getter awards.

A huge thank you to all of our families who came along to share the morning with us and celebrate the magic of books. Reading has such a special way of transporting us to new places, introducing us to unforgettable characters and filling our lives with imagination and joy.

It truly was a “Symphony of Stories!”📖💫

📚✨ It’s Starting to Look a Lot Like Book Week! ✨📚

Our Book Week celebrations are here, and we kicked things off yesterday with a very special Author in Residence visit from Dimity Powell! What a fantastic opportunity for our students to meet a real-life author, hear about the writing process and be inspired by the creativity and hard work that goes into bringing stories to life.

Staff were also busily preparing their Book Week costumes - excitement is building across the school, everything is pointing to one thing… Book Week is here!📖🌟

🎨 Creative Friday with Charleville Art Studio 🎨
On Friday, our Year 3–6 students had the wonderful opportunity to spend the middle session working with the Charleville Art Studio. It was a fantastic hands-on experience, with students creating artwork that linked beautifully to our Year 3–4 Visual Arts learning around different types of lines and patterns. ✏️🖌️
Throughout the session, students explored how lines can be used in different ways to create interesting designs, repeated patterns and unique artworks. They experimented with a range of ideas and techniques, building on what they have been learning in the classroom while enjoying the chance to work alongside visiting artists. 🌟
It was wonderful to see students from Years 3–6 engaged, creative and enthusiastic as they expressed themselves through art. We thank the Charleville Art Studio for sharing their time and talents with our students and helping bring their learning to life. 👏

🎉 Under 8’s Day! 🎉

Friday was filled with so much fun, laughter and learning through play! It was wonderful to see our youngest learners exploring, creating, discovering and enjoying such a fantastic range of activities.

A huge thank you to our families for coming along and sharing the morning with us.

We are incredibly grateful to all of the community organisations and helpers who supported our event. A very special thank you to Miss Wade and Miss Emily for the enormous amount of work that went into preparing and organising such an terrific morning! 🌟

Under 8’s Morning – This Friday!

Families are invited to join us this Friday 14th August from 9–11am for a fun-filled morning of learning through play. Play helps children build confidence, creativity, communication, problem-solving and social skills while having fun and exploring the world around them.
