Engineering For Kids Australia

Engineering For Kids Australia Engineering For Kids Australia brings Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM), to kids ag They build a complete video game from start to finish.

Dr. Dandan Ma is a mum of 2 boys, she has a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science Degree in Automation & Control and a Doctorate Degree specialising in Electrical Machines. With combining her passion for Children, Education and Technology, she brought the No.1 US STEM enrichment programs - Engineering For Kids® across Australia in 2017. Engineering For Kids brings science,

technology, engineering, and math (STEM), to kids ages 4 to 14 in a fun and challenging way through classes, camps, clubs, and parties. We are proud to inspire children to build on their natural curiosity by teaching engineering concepts through hands-on learning. Engineering is, after all, one of the fastest growing industries in the world! We cover a broad range of engineering fields that's sure to always be exciting for your kids to learn!

• Aerospace Engineering: Students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. They create their own air-powered rockets, and assemble a hot air balloon model.

• Chemical Engineering: Introduces kids to fundamental concepts of solids, liquids, gases, and mixtures. Students investigate the properties of several crazy concoctions and make their own samples of bubbles, play dough, bouncy balls, and more.

• Civil Engineering: Introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of building and construction. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct skyscrapers, bridges, and a home.

• Electrical Engineering: Students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine basic electronics and circuits. Students experiment with Snap Circuits® to discover the capabilities of major electronic components. In addition, students build their own flashlights and explore the world of magnetic energy.

• Environmental Engineering: Students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine basic solutions related to alternative energy and environmental issues. They learn principles behind wind-powered machines and discover how these can reduce the use of fossil fuels. During the culminating project, students test different materials to discover which ones most effectively clean up after an oil spill.

• Marine Engineering: Students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine several types of marine vehicles to experiment in our Aquatic Track. Students build an underwater robot to learn about basic properties of ship and submarine design.

• Mechanical Engineering:
Introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct their own roller coasters, catapults, cars, and more.

• Industrial Engineering: Introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of simple machinery, cooperative building, and the assembly line process. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct simple machines and then use an assembly line process.

• Electronic Game Design: Students create their own video game. They program characters to survive. At the end of the class, students take home a copy of the game they create.

• LEGO® Robotics: using LEGO® Robots, students build various things. They also learn how to program and operate their creations using a computer.
