This year we are partnering with Children’s Hospital foundation throughout the month of August in their 40km our way fundraising event. They’ll be more details to come this week on ways in which yourself and our community can support this. Fantastic fundraising opportunity and asked to achieve our goal of $10,000 across the region.

A huge thank you to the Children's Hospital Foundation (CHF) team for taking us on a tour of Queensland’s Children’s Hospital yesterday to see all the incredible work they do to support children and their families in their greatest time of need.

G8 Education is committed to championing childhoods today and tomorrow, which is why we are so pleased to partner with the CHF to support their initiatives and research efforts that are striving to create brighter futures for Australian children.

We have exciting things planned for the remainder of 2023. We can’t wait to share more soon!

📢 All Queenslanders are now eligible for a free flu shot.

From tomorrow (Tuesday 24 May), all Queensland residents over 6 months of age can receive their flu shot for free, until 30 June 2022. You can make an appointment at your local pharmacy or GP.

If you were already eligible for a free flu vaccine, it’s recommended you see your regular vaccination provider, such as your GP or community health centre. This includes:
- children aged 6 months to 5 years
- adults aged 65 and over
- pregnant women
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over
- those with certain medical risk factors.

The flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and your community from influenza. Vaccination makes it less likely you'll suffer serious illness and need to be hospitalised.
