From one very proud SASS team member
Yesterday, our wonderful SASS team were surprised with a delicious morning tea and beautiful flowers as a thank you and in recognition of SASS Appreciation Week. It was such a thoughtful gesture and gave me the opportunity to reflect on just how lucky I feel to be part of the Hornsby High School community.
I think I can speak on behalf of my fellow SASS colleagues when I say that it truly is a joy to come to work, where we happily hit the ground running with each of our own very different roles and workloads, whether it's working in administration, ordering and preparing food for Hospitality, organising equipment and chemicals for Science classes, running a well-organised library, or caring for and managing the grounds of our beautiful school.
What we all have in common is the genuine pleasure we get from supporting our teachers, students, families and, of course, each other. Every member of our SASS team is dedicated to their role and to making a positive contribution to our school. We are a happy, friendly and hardworking team, always ready to help wherever we can.
The successful transition to a co-educational school has been a wonderful achievement, and I believe it reflects the whole school spirit at Hornsby High School, a community where everyone plays a part, supports one another and works together for the benefit of our students.
I am incredibly proud to be part of this special team and this wonderful school community.
Happy SASS Appreciation Week to our amazing team, you are valued, appreciated and an important part of what makes Hornsby High School such a great place to be.
