πΏ Junior School students recently enjoyed a fantastic day at Bunyaville Environmental Education Centre as part of their HASS (Geography) learning.
The excursion supported our unit on special places, with a focus on understanding why these places are important and how we can care for them. Students participated in a range of engaging, hands-on and multi-sensory activities that encouraged them to explore the natural environment using all of their senses.
From discovering the plants and animals that call Bunyaville home to learning about ways we can protect and respect our environment, the day provided many valuable learning opportunities.
Students and staff alike have reported that it was a fabulous day filled with exploration, learning and fun. We are grateful to the team at Bunyaville Environmental Education Centre for providing such an enriching experience for our students. π±πΎπ

TRISH'S RETURN VISIT | We were delighted to welcome Trish back from retirement for the day!
She spent some time exploring the Nash Nature Nook (dedicated to Trish), then enjoyed a well-earned coffee and cake at the Frothee Coffee Shoppee. After that, she popped in to visit a few students and say hello.
It was lovely to have her back on site, even just for a visit. We miss Trish and always enjoy it when she drops in to see us π

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ian Townsend, owner of Townsend Buses.
Ian was a wonderful supporter of Aspley Special School, always ensuring our students never missed out. Whether it was providing buses for excursions, taking the whole school to Australia Zoo or bringing the ice cream truck for celebrations, his generosity knew no bounds.
Ian's kindness and support have touched the lives of so many in our school community. He will be greatly missed, and we extend our sincere condolences to the Townsend family and the Townsend Buses team.
