π± Have you signed up to QParents yet?
We have sent several emails and reminders, and while we have had a fantastic response, we still need everyone to get on board.
QParents will be an important part of our school communication, including excursion information, payments, report cards, absences and other important school updates.
We kindly ask all families who havenβt signed up yet to please do so as soon as possible. We really appreciate your support as we move towards a more streamlined and paperless way of communicating with our families. π
If you need any help getting set up, please contact the school office β we are more than happy to help! π

π Learning Together, Preparing for Life Beyond School π
Today our Senior Secondary teachers came together to moderate student work across their ASDAN modules β and itβs so much more than simply checking work!
Moderation gives our teachers the opportunity to come together, share ideas, discuss student learning and ensure that assessment is consistent, meaningful and reflective of each studentβs individual achievements.
Itβs also a wonderful opportunity to share resources, strategies and those little ideas that can make a big difference in the classroom. π
At Aspley Special School, some of our Senior Secondary students complete ASDAN modules carefully selected around their interests, strengths and individual goals. These modules form an important part of helping students build skills, confidence and experiences that connect to their PATH plans and their aspirations for life after school.
Whether itβs developing independence, exploring employment, building community participation or pursuing a personal interest, our focus is always on making learning meaningful, purposeful and connected to the future our students are working towards. π±
A huge thank you to our wonderful Senior Secondary teachers for their commitment, collaboration and dedication to our wonderful students. Your passion for creating meaningful learning opportunities and supporting every student to achieve their goals makes such a difference. π«

A massive well done to every student who participated. You should all be so proud of yourselves! π
A huge and heartfelt thank you to the incredible Holt Bolt team for joining us and encouraging our students in their races, bringing the much-loved foam cannon fun, and generously donating ice blocks to help keep our students cool and hydrated. You helped make the day so incredibly special!
We also want to sincerely thank the wonderful Aspley State High School Junior Leaders and the students from Nudgee College, who spent time away from their own Sports Day to come and be part of ours.
And honestlyβ¦ doesnβt that say something about the kind of young people they are? π They could have been enjoying their own Sports Day, but instead they chose to spend their day cheering, encouraging, supporting and celebrating our students.
To every one of you who ran alongside our students, clapped, cheered, encouraged, celebrated and made them feel like champions β thank you.
Thank you to our wonderful staff for helping make the day so special and for encouraging our students every step of the way. β€οΈ
