I knew from a young age that I had artistic talent, but it wasn’t until college that I decided to devote myself to sewing and turn my passion into my life’s work. As a professional dressmaker and experienced pattern-maker, grader, cutter, and sample maker, in 2010, after 7 yrs. working in the fashion industry, I decided to start my business, Marguerite Couture. During the last 1
8 years, I've worked for several fashion houses in Belgium and Western Europe. I've designed and tailored made-to-measure clothing for private and professional clients given private sewing classes and trained several apprenticeships in tailoring techniques. In 2018 I moved to Melbourne Victoria and I created Fashion Solutions Vic. My artistic ability is what helped me to dig deep and discover who I am inside. As I looked at the people in my life struggling to find themselves, I realized that my creativity could inspire others to look inside and discover what makes them truly happy too. Everyone has an artist inside. Some of us just need a little more help bringing that inner artist to life. To me, watching others create something they never thought possible is the best feeling in the world. LET'S GET CREATIVE!
