The children were so excited when we made a discovery in our sand pit box. Gecko eggs, the children were so curious and had so many questions so we have made them a home to observe and show parents what we discovered in the backyard.

Well it was a busy morning, we had a car wash, hunt for letters in our name fun with our friends and we made something special for mum.

Today was Phoebes last day at Charmain’s she is off to big school. It’s sad that you won’t be here everyday but it’s nice to know that you will come back to see us during school holidays.

Jelly squares a sensory and tactile activity for the little ones, but I think the big kids were enjoying it just as much if not more.

The children’s curiosity was very aroused today when they saw the fly squatters the paint and paint shirts. “What are we doing Charmain? We are going to paint with fly squatters, their faces looked a little puzzled, I told them we need paint shirts as we were going to get very messy. Once we had put on our protective shirts I announced “now squat the paint” the pictures below explain just how mulch fun our version of paint balling was. The children learnt how to wait, make sure they didn’t hit a friend, eye to hand coordination and working together to make a master piece that now hangs on our daycare wall.

Our first week back and wait a fun action packed week we had.Ball games, munch and move story time making cakes and decorating and the whole time we were learning. Also a big welcome to James.

Eating our ice blocks we made yesterday, however I learnt yesterday not to use coloured paddle pop sticks the dye runs, so we had to make them again. Earlier in the day we made our Xmas tree sun catchers
