The Tower Art Show at Marist College Ashgrove

A much-loved part of the Tower Art Show, First Light – The Uplift Project invites exhibiting artists to create and donate an A5 artwork inspired by this year’s theme, “Full of Grace”

But there’s a secret… 👀

The artist’s identity remains hidden until the artwork is purchased. So you can discover a beautiful original work, support an incredible artist and enjoy the thrill of not knowing who created it until it’s yours. ✨

Best of all, every purchase helps raise funds for the Champagnat Trust bursary program, supporting young people through education.

Join award-winning contemporary landscape artist Zac Moynihan for an inspiring afternoon of oil painting at the 2026 Tower Art Show.

Zac will take you through his approach to painting the Australian landscape, sharing practical techniques, tips and insights along the way. You’ll be guided step-by-step as you create your own original oil painting to take home.

No experience necessary — just come along, get creative and enjoy an afternoon of painting, good food and art.

Julie Walters is a local emerging artist with a love for capturing the character and personality of the people and animals around her.

From expressive portraits to much-loved dogs and cats, Julie’s work celebrates the little details that make each subject unique. Her passion for painting people and pets brings a warmth and sense of connection to her work.

2026 FEATURED ARTIST — ANDRIANE GEORGIOU

There’s something captivating about the way Andriane Georgiou brings together colour, light and everyday objects in her still life paintings.

Today, Andriane’s work combines decorative and native flowers with collected objects gathered from op shops, markets and family travels. Drawing on modern Impressionism, she explores expressive colour, light and atmosphere to create still lifes that feel both familiar and evocative.

Her love of the creative process is beautifully simple: after carefully arranging each composition, she waits for that moment when everything feels balanced and she can make the first brushstroke — “like opening a fresh page in a diary and ready to tell a new story.”

We’re thrilled to welcome Andriane as the 2026 Tower Art Show Featured Artist. For Andriane, exhibiting at Marist College is particularly meaningful, and she says she feels truly honoured to be part of an event within a space whose cultural, spiritual and ethical values she deeply appreciates.
