🌈 Potion Play ✨

Our Kindergarten children have recently been exploring fairy gardens. Potion play is a great extension of the mystical wonders of the world. It offers a variety of benefits, including creativity, expression, cause and effect, and introduces early science concepts.

🌿 Exploring in Nature πŸ‚

Today, our Nursery children basked in the autumn air whilst exploring one of natures greatest tools, clay!

Watching our little learners squeeze, smash, drip and mould clay together was memorable. Using raw materials allows the children to explore the world around them whilst learning new skills and techniques.

πŸͺ Recipe Bags πŸ₯£

At Cottage, we have recently introduced our recipe bags to support our families to connect on a weekend.

Since our families love Chef Nic’s Choc Chip Cookies, we thought this would be a great one to use for our first recipe bag.

πŸ“— National Simultaneous Storytime 🦘

For the 2026 National Simultaneous Storytime, we invited Miss Kirt to our centre to read Luna Roo to our Kindergarten children.

Storytelling promotes creativity, enhances language development, and supports the growth of emotional intelligence.

πŸ–€β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ€ At Green Leaves Early Learning, we’re proudly All In for National Reconciliation Week 2026 πŸ–€β€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ€

From 27 May to 3 June, we come together to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day.

Reconciliation starts with all of us, including our youngest learners. Through moments of curiosity, storytelling, music, art and connection, children begin to build understanding, respect and a sense of belonging.

Because every small conversation, shared experience and learning moment helps us to build towards a more inclusive future, together.

🐝 World Bee Day 🌼

Today, our Toddler children engaged in an unboxing experience with Miss Georgia to celebrate World Bee Day! The children gathered before opening our beautiful gift from the team at Teralba Park Honey.

The children enjoyed having a taste of their locally grown honey fresh from the jar before we ventured outside to see if we could spot any bees in our outdoor environment.
