BUTTERY X MELT FEST ANNOUNCEMENT 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️❤️‍🔥

In fun gay news, we are honoured to be a part of Melt Brisbane’s festival of Q***r Arts and Culture this year as we bring our Buttery spirit to the intimate corners of The Junk Bar for 2 q***r-led open mics, followed by a set from one of Brissy’s fav q***r bands! Bring your music, comedy, poetry, or whatever you can dream of. In the spirit of Melt Fest, expect a warm inclusive warm where everyone is welcome.

🚀 6:30pm Wednesday 28 Oct: 18+ session
🚀 2:00pm Sunday 4 Nov: (almost) all ages 12 years and over session

We had the best time singing our hearts out to a bunch of 90s classics with a big rag tag crew of parents and their bubba's at State Library of Queensland under 8s day!

We're big believers that the best way to have kids develop an early love of music is to witness their parents rocking out 🤘

🎤 🎸BUTTERY BANDS 🎸🎤

Exciting news! We are opening some fresh spaces in our band program 🤘

The band journey is directed by the members’ interests, with the possibility to lean into learning covers, jamming, writing originals, playing real gigs, and recording.

Band sessions are $45, and can be a fun friend making adventure, or can be the start of a genuine pro band that goes on to a life of gigging and releasing music, with our full support to get you there!

To be in a band, you need to be over 10 years old (we have a bunch of adult bands too!) and be able to play a full song in time and in key. We work hard to match you with people of at least fairly similar age, skill and taste in music!
