First of September - Hats to remember! 🧢

As we welcome spring tomorrow, just a reminder to all our families that school hats will now be required when students are outside.

Students who do not have a hat will be required to play in the undercover area during recess and lunchtime.

This week wraps up another successful Book Week! 📖

Our week has been filled with stories, creativity and imagination, and students have explored different books, new authors, and shared their love of reading with others. We had some very creative costumes on Tuesday with the chance to bring some of our favourite characters to life and share in the magic of books! ✨️

Arthurs Creek Primary School has been chosen as one of three community groups featured at Grill'd Plenty Valley for the entire month of August, and we could win a share of $500.

What is Grill'd Local Matters?

Local Matters is an Australia-wide program by Grill'd as a way of giving back to the local community. Every month, each restaurant awards some funds between three local community groups who do amazing work, and your vote decides who gets what.

🥼👩‍🔬This week was science week! 👨‍🔬🥽

Our students took a deep dive into the theme of Science Week - "Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all" with our resident science guru Chan.

We made Seed Bombs together, talked about how clay holds a lot of water and that compost is needed to help the plants grow. 🌱

We explored how seed collection banks worked and learned about the importance of using seed collections to help reduce the risks associated with monoculture type farming. 👩‍🌾

We also learnt about the conditions needed for these seed bombs to work and where they can be thrown in order to give them the best chance for growth!
