STFX Trivia Night 🎉

The Parent Group recently held the first STFX Trivia Night since 2019, and what a fantastic night it was!

Around 45 parents came along, ready for some friendly competition, plenty of laughs and a great night out. Shane Andrews stepped up as our Trivia Master and did an amazing job, delivering a great mix of questions and keeping everyone entertained throughout the evening.

The competition was particularly fierce during the special STFX round, with everyone keen to show off their superior knowledge of all things STFX! Keeping with the theme, we even had one team named “What the Heckenberg?” — a fitting name for a night full of STFX pride!

Events like this are a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new people and connect with other families in our school community. If you haven’t joined one of our parent events before, we genuinely encourage you to give it a go!

It was a real group effort to bring the evening together, with a special thank you to Jenni Andrews for recruiting her husband, Shane, as our Trivia Master and for helping coordinate the event with the Scots Club. We'd love also to mention Lauren Fallon who did our amazing design and signage for the night and Tamara Hammer for her Sweet Me Up lollies and Tom Husband for helping with the Scot's Club and St George Rugby League signed gear!

We’d also like to give a big shout-out to the Scots Club for supporting our event and for the wonderful work they do supporting so many of our kids through local sport. If you haven’t visited recently, why not head down for a meal with the family and support this fantastic local club?

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the night such a success.

We’re already looking forward to the rematch next year! 🏆

Last Friday, we celebrated National Principal’s Day and showed our appreciation for our wonderful principal, Mrs Heckenberg! Our students had lots of fun playing “Where’s Mrs Heckenberg?”, searching the school for hidden photos of her. 📸🔍 We are so lucky to have such a caring and dedicated principal!
