I Have Autism. I Want You to Know This at Christmas.

Christmas can look joyful from the outside, but for many autistic children it can feel overwhelming, confusing, and exhausting.

I created this resource to help children and their families gently share what Christmas can be like for them — and what really helps. It’s designed to support understanding from relatives, friends, and the wider family, without a child having to explain themselves again and again. Other diagnoses to follow over the coming days.

This free download includes
– Colour versions (masculine and feminine)
– Printer-friendly versions
– A child-led version where they can draw themselves or add a photo

It’s about making space, reducing pressure, and helping every child feel safer, seen, and understood during the festive season.

Free download — follow instructions in the visual.

Hey community.
We have had to make that hard decision to raise our fees. We are sure you all appreciate that the cost of essentials have risen over the last few years - including power, internet, rent etc. We held off as long as we could but the time has come. As of 01.01.25, our tuition fees will now be $70ph.
If you have a child in Yr4-12 and are keen to provide them with support in their education, now is a great time to give us a call. Sean 0404155958 (Yr9-12) Wendy 0404155810 (Yr4-9)

Wise advice…

One of the toughest things for most of us to do is to stop ourselves in our tracks before we react to our teens' sassiness, snarkiness or attitude.

But we have to remember that teenagers are notorious for displacing their frustration and anger. And, because we're their "safe zone" and they know we'll love them no matter what, we'll always get the brunt of their most "unlovable" emotions. (Take it as a compliment...)

Before we snap, react, jump in and discipline them (which, let's be honest, is certainly necessary at times when our kids cross the line), we have to ask ourselves a few questions.

Quite often, there's a reason our kids are acting out. Sure, sometimes, it's just plain hormones that are getting the best of them, but quite often, there is an underlying reason that might require a little "digging" on our part.

A mom () shared this amazing advice with me and I asked her if I could share it. It's some of the best advice I've heard.

Before you react, H.A.L.T. ❤

While we are a small, family business, did you know we are INTERNATIONAL?
Sean and I are online, one-on-one tutors who have students in a variety of locations including Australia, New Zealand and SE Asia. We have NO PRE-PRESCRIBED PROGRAMS - we respond to the individual needs of the student we are working with. We address the challenges YOUR child is facing right then.
We specialise in maths (upper Primary and all Secondary School courses) , English (senior/exam years at Secondary School) and more - don’t be afraid to ask!
Sean and I established On Track Tuition in 2005 and have been full-time tutors since then. Our experience and expertise is vast; our honest, supportive feedback to students and parents is our point of difference.
Message us if you would like to know more or would like to book your child in.
Cheers
Wendy
