From skiing fresh powder to camping in the tent village, our Year 9 Outdoor Environments students had a terrific time at their Mount Stirling Snow Trip in Victoria's high country. They approached every activity with enthusiasm, resilience and a genuine willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Well done Year 9 Outdoor Ed!

Our Year 8 students came back to school with plenty of inspiration following last week's Church Safari! ⛪

The cohort visited One Hope, Kardinia Church, St Mary’s Basilica and the Serbian Orthodox Church, where they explored the diverse ways Geelong's Christian communities worship and serve others. We can't wait to see how they implement the ideas and inspiration they gained during the excursion into their upcoming church design project for Christian Studies.

A reminder that this Friday 14 August is a student free day at Geelong Lutheran College.

Well done to the more than 50 Primary Students who represented GLC at the recent Dooliebeal District Athletics! Ten of our students will now progress to the Bellarine Division Athletics next month to compete in shot put, discus, hurdles, high jump, 100m, 200m and 800m. Well done everyone!

Our Preps celebrated their 100th Day of school on Friday! It was a day to remember, with fun activities based around the number 100 and a chance to think about their future and what they would like to be when they grow up.

What a night last Saturday evening was for the guests at this year’s Blue & Gold Gala!

Parents, friends and staff members from across both campuses enjoyed an evening of fine food and drinks, dancing, socialising and raising money for the College through the raffle and silent auction. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, all the businesses who contributed prizes to the raffle and silent auction, and a big thank you to the GLC Armstrong Creek P+F Committee and contributing staff members for putting this event together.

Well done to our Year 8 Junior Boys Soccer team who secured GLC's first ever GISSA Soccer Championship win last week! ⚽

We're excited to share that Geelong Lutheran College is now an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP). This achievement reflects two-and-a-half years of dedicated planning, professional learning, and careful implementation across our two campuses. A heartfelt thanks to our staff, students, and families for their commitment to this journey.

We chose to pursue implementing the PYP because its philosophy and practice aligns strongly with our vision for primary education. When our students continue on to secondary school at the Armstrong Creek campus, they will build upon these same foundations, enabling them to retain the strengths of a PYP education into their secondary years.
