🌿 Expression of Interest : Homeschool Community Day at Chinwags 🌿

For a little while now, I have been wondering whether there is enough interest to create a homeschool community day at Chinwags.

The idea is a small mixed-age group coming together one day per week during the school term to learn, create, explore, and connect.

This would not be a tutoring service or a formal homeschooling program. Families would remain responsible for their child's curriculum and educational requirements.

Instead, the focus would be on:

🌱 Project work and following interests
🌱 Social connection and friendships
🌱 Communication and collaboration
🌱 Creativity and problem-solving
🌱 Nature-based experiences and community outings
🌱 Life skills and independence
🌱 A calm, connected environment where every child belongs

At this stage I am considering a one-day-per-week program from 9:00am to 3:00pm, most likely on a Tuesday or Wednesday depending on interest.

The plan would be to run this as a one-term trial and then evaluate together whether it is meeting the needs of the children and families involved.

If this sounds like something your family may be interested in, I would love for you to complete the Expression of Interest form below.

No commitment is required at this stage. I am simply gathering information and exploring whether there is enough interest to bring this idea to life.

Edit: To clarify, this is a children-only day for school-aged homeschoolers.
Creating space for children to connect, collaborate and grow alongside peers, while parents have a little breathing room to recharge and focus on the many hats homeschooling families wear. 🥰

🌿 Something I'd love to share about the logistics behind Chinwags Family Day Care 🌿

Most people are aware that Family Day Care works a little differently from long day care centres. What people may not realise is how it works behind the scenes 🥰

Chinwags Family Day Care is my own small business, owned and operated by me, Inge. I make the day-to-day decisions about my program, environment, philosophy, and the families I welcome into care.

As a Family Day Care educator, I can care for up to four children under school age and up to seven children in total, allowing me to offer the small-group, relationship-based environment that I value so much.

Like all Family Day Care educators, I work under an approved Family Day Care provider. My provider is Rainbow Bridge Family Day Care, and together we make a wonderful team. They provide support, coordination, compliance, professional development, and quality assurance, while I focus on creating a calm, connected space where every child belongs.

Rainbow Bridge Family Day Care supports educators across NSW and QLD, including here in Armidale. This means I am not part of the local Family Day Care service that some people may be familiar with.

If you are interested in care at Chinwags fdc, have questions, or would like to arrange a visit, please contact me directly via Messenger or on 0493 018 964. I manage my own enquiries and enrolments and can guide you through the process of becoming part of our community.

🌱 Permanent and casual care available for children aged 0–5 years
🌱 Expressions of interest now open for a homeschool community day

Feel free to send me a message if you would like to learn more about whether Chinwags might be the right fit for your family 🥰

This morning I did a mini reading (still took us about 1h30min lol)
A short moment after the reading I received this feedback

"I recently had a Human Design reading with Inge, and it was such an insightful experience.
Before our session, I knew very little about Human Design, but Inge explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and deeply meaningful.

She helped me make sense of why I have been feeling and responding to things the way I do, and it truly opened my eyes. The reading gave me a greater understanding of myself, my strengths, and how I am designed to move through life.

Inge was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the session. I left feeling empowered, validated, and so much more knowledgeable about myself. I highly recommend a reading with Inge to anyone wanting to gain deeper self-awareness and understanding."

Thank you 🥰

Have you looked into your design?
As I am on a roll, I happily respond to the first 5 people commenting "tell me more" and share some basic insight for their design :-)

Today was gardening day and after a few days of rain, it felt so good to simply be outside again, feeling the warm sun on our faces ☀️

There was not much left to do in the veggie garden and the mower man had already been, so no long grass to collect for the guinea pig and bunny. But scattered around our big old logs were piles and piles of bark edges that had slowly been building up over the last few months.

The logs themselves had almost become part of the background. Once loved and used often, they had started to look more like a pile of “rubbish” than an invitation to play.

So today, instead of throwing the bark away, I suggested we build a big hotel.

The children got to work immediately.

Bricks were collected (very heavy, but somehow they all made it there 😅), along with planks, logs, rocks, leaves and containers. One of the older children decided to get the little trailer so the larger bark pieces could be moved safely without becoming too heavy.

For over 30 minutes the children carried, balanced, negotiated, helped each other and built together.

And the beautiful thing was… once we finished, the logs had a purpose again.

A bark path appeared leading to the “pool,” balancing challenges were created, and suddenly the space invited movement, imagination and connection again 🌿

Today felt slow, warm, connected and meaningful.
Just children, sunshine, heavy work, imagination and the simple magic of creating something together 💛

While all of this was happening, our little observer watched quietly from the sideline, holding onto one special toy.

To an outsider, it may have looked like he was not joining in or needed help to connect. But the opposite was true.

Some children connect by watching first.
Some children need time to feel safe, understand the rhythm of the group and move into play in their own timing.

And when we give them that space without pressure, without trying to change them, we often see them flourish naturally.

It is such a beautiful reminder that not every child is meant to engage loudly or quickly. Some children are deeply in tune with themselves and their needs, and there is something incredibly special about protecting that connection instead of conditioning it away.

Has there been a time where you trusted the child to follow their instinct and not push it out to your comfort zone or expectations? Or is it something you struggle with? I would love to hear your thoughts 🤔💕

🌿 Community is such a big part of our days at Chinwags 🌿

Not only within the families who attend, but also within the wider community around us.
A few weeks ago, a friend kindly offered us a big bag of Duplo blocks. Today we finally got around to washing them and getting them ready to be loved again.

First, we tried the washing machine. We quickly discovered that while some blocks came out a little cleaner… most of them were still dirty 😅

So we filled up the big laundry tub, grabbed cloths and brushes, and got to work together.
Honestly, you can’t beat blocks and water play at the same time.

The boys were beautiful to watch today.

Both of them have a Line 4 in their Human Design, which connects strongly to learning through trusted relationships and community. They spent over 30 minutes side by side experimenting, observing, and mostly copying each other’s (and my) actions while figuring things out together.

They are also both sacral decision makers, which means they naturally tune into what brings them joy and engage with it wholeheartedly.
That was definitely visible today.

One joyful moment led to the next, with both boys diving deeply into whatever captured their interest in that moment from sorting and washing blocks, to spotting paintbrushes and asking for paint, to practising getting changed (we all got a little wet 😅), and finishing with lovely chats around the table.

So much learning can happen in the simplest moments 🤍

“What spaces or people help your child(ren) feel they truly belong?"

Communication and teaching little ones to have a voice is such an important part of our days at Chinwags Family Day Care.

Learning to express their needs and wants, while also respecting the needs of others, is something children begin practicing from a very young age. And the beautiful thing is, they learn so much from each other along the way.

Since learning more about Human Design, I have started recognising how easily little Manifestors can be misunderstood.

As a Manifestor myself, one of the biggest lessons for me has been learning the importance of informing others about what I am going to do. To be honest, I thought I was already quite good at it, but awareness brings new layers of understanding and new skills to practise. (Never too old to learn and grow within.)

I currently have two little Manifestors in care, and over the past few weeks I have been quietly observing them. The difference has been incredible.

When they inform others about what they want to do, things tend to flow much more smoothly. The other children understand them better, frustration lowers, and they themselves seem more settled and confident.

When they forget to inform, misunderstandings happen quickly. Other children can feel confused or interrupted, and the Manifestors themselves often end up feeling frustrated or angry.

Sometimes all they need is gentle guidance:
“Can you tell them what you want to do?”
“Are you trying to say this?”
“Would it help to let them know first?”

I also reflect back to them the peace and connection they seem to feel once they have informed others successfully.

Slowly and steadily, they are figuring it out in their own authentic way, not by changing who they are, but by learning skills that help others understand them better.

It feels really special to support these little ones before they grow up constantly hearing they are “rude” or “controlling.”

Sometimes understanding the way a child is naturally wired changes everything 💛

If you already know your child’s Human Design type, I’d love to hear it below.
Or comment their birthday and I’ll look up the first 5 children personally today.

This week I am catching up on my studies to gain more skills and knowledge in my Human Design reading skills and also how to implement and use my own design within my business and daily life.

We finish the course tomorrow, and after a few weeks where rest, processing information, feeling big feelings and my own family’s needs came first… I finally feel ready to delve deep again and catch up.

I am blessed with a closed heart/willpower energy field, and I am definitely taking advantage of that energy right now to just push through and do it.

I’ve been really intentional in setting myself up in ways that support me:
– a nice view over the garden (my valley environment)
– the sun on my skin to keep me warm and cosy (hot digestion)
– and setting clear expectations with my girls that I am prioritising study these few days (informing like a Manifestor 😉)

All those little things combined are energising me, helping me ride this wave and actually absorb so much of the information.

Being a 1/3 profile means I love to investigate and delve deep, ask more questions, but also learn through experience… and mistakes.

A lot of my focus has always been on children, how they process life and move through the world. Combined with my own personal experiences, it’s becoming very clear to me that if I want to support my own children and the children I care for on a deeper level, I also need to be willing to delve deep within myself.

And honestly… that part is intense.

Because the deeper I go, the more aware I become of where I am out of alignment and where changes are needed to come back to my true self.

It feels a little like standing on the edge of a cliff.

Behind me are all the experiences and mistakes I needed to learn from.
In front of me is a different future… if I can find the courage to jump, make the changes, and not fall back into old patterns.

Intense and fulfilling all at once.
