Angus Australia is calling on members in the Gold Coast region to help showcase the breed in a unique media opportunity as part of BeefEx 2026.
The BeefEx Organising Committee has invited Angus Australia to provide a quiet, well-handled Angus bull and heifers for a promotional event on the iconic sands of Broadbeach on Wednesday 23 September.
The cattle will be required on the beach from approximately 6:00am to 7:00am and will form part of a major media opportunity to promote BeefEx 2026, including a live Triple M Breakfast Radio broadcast, photography and broader media activity.
While it is not every day Angus cattle are asked to take centre stage on the beach, this is a valuable opportunity to present the breed to a wider audience in a setting that is sure to attract attention.
Angus Australia is seeking expressions of interest from members who may have suitable cattle available. The cattle must be quiet, clean, well-handled and comfortable in public environments. Show experience would be highly regarded.
BeefEx 2026 will be held from 22 to 24 September at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together the grain fed beef sector and the broader beef supply chain for one of the industryโs major national events. The event is expected to attract more than 900 delegates and a strong trade exhibition, providing a valuable platform to highlight the role of Angus genetics across commercial beef production.
Angus Australia will be involved in BeefEx 2026 and this beachside media opportunity provides a memorable way to help promote both the event and the Angus breed.
Members with a suitable bull or heifer, or those interested in finding out more, are encouraged to contact Mel Strasburg at Angus Australia.

Angus cattle in the feedlot provide consistent gains, reliable grading, and predictable outcomes. Feedlot operators choose Angus because they know what they're getting. Efficient conversion, calm temperament, and carcase quality that consistently meet market specifications. That reliability is worth paying for.

The genetic and phenotypic decisions you make today echo through your herd for years. Every bull purchase, every heifer retained, every animal culled contributes to your operation's trajectory. Clear objectives, quality data, and disciplined selection are important.

"Put disasters aside, people have everyday challenges: rising costs, fluctuating prices, throw in a personal health scare, a succession plan that urgently needs to be finished but hasn't been started. People need support in the context of that, as well as they do in the context of disaster." - John Warlters, Rural Aid CEO
In this Angus Table conversation, John explains why Rural Aid's 10 counsellors provide support, not just emergency response. Life's daily pressures need attention, too.
