Most families don't realise that when a girl chooses NEGS β she doesn't just choose a school. She chooses a community that will back her on the water, on the field, in the arena and in the classroom. Every single day.
This is NEGS Rowing. Early mornings, cold water and a crew that shows up for each other without hesitation.
Responsibility. Integrity. Teamwork. Excellence. Not words on a wall β values lived out on the water before most people are even awake.
Whether your daughter is a competitive athlete chasing elite performance or simply a girl who loves her sport β NEGS provides the environment, the coaching and the community to help her be her absolute best.
Sport Scholarships won't last. Book a tour and see NEGS sport in action for yourself.

The scoreboard tells one story. Character tells another. πβ€οΈπ
Our NEGS netballers competed at the IGSA Representative trials in Sydney this week. The final team has been announced, and while our girls aren't on it, they've returned with something equally valuable - the confidence that comes from competing at a high level and the maturity to handle outcomes with grace.
These girls competed with heart, represented NEGS beautifully, and demonstrated the kind of character that goes far beyond sport.
Making it to representative trials is an achievement many aspire to but few reach. Competing at that level builds athletes - and people - in ways that will benefit them for years to come.
Well done, girls. We're proud of your effort, your attitude, and your representation of NEGS values. This is just one chapter in your story. β¨

Two NEGS girls. Two gold medals. One very proud school. π₯π₯π
Congratulations to Heidi Zwiers and Ashlyn Jackson, who represented NEGS as IGSA Representative Hockey players at the CIS Trials in Sydney this week β and both came home with gold medals around their necks.
What makes this even more special? Their coach on the sideline was none other than our very own Ella β meaning NEGS was represented not just on the field, but leading the team. That's the NEGS difference. π
Heidi and Ashlyn, the hard work, the early mornings, the dedication β it all showed this week. We are so incredibly proud of you both.

Mud. Laughter. Teamwork. And memories that will last a lifetime.
Our Stage 4 girls are at the Great Aussie Bush Camp β and safe to say, they left absolutely everything out there. Literally.
From obstacle courses to trust challenges, these girls pushed themselves, backed each other, and discovered just how much they're capable of when they work together. That's not something you learn in a classroom β and that's exactly the point.
The mud washes off. The friendships and confidence? Those stay.
Well done, Stage 4. We think you might need a shower.

Be Your Best at NEGS.
After a weekend of remembrance, reflection and gratitude β we jump into Term 2 with purpose. π΄π
We hope everyone had a meaningful ANZAC Day long weekend. Pausing to honour those who served is something we hold close as a community β and it's a value we carry with us as we return to school today.
Welcome back to Week 2 of Term 2, NEGS. The arena is ready, the horses are fresh and so are we. Let's make it a great week. β¨
Lest We Forget. πΏ
Not all schools look like this. πβοΈ
While most students spend their Sunday resting up for the week ahead, the NEGS agrifarm doesn't stop β and neither do the students who care for it.
For families in rural and regional Australia, finding a school that genuinely understands and celebrates this way of life is rare. At NEGS, it's just Tuesday. Or Sunday. Or any day the animals need you. π
If you know a family who would love this β share this post and tag them below. π

This morning, our NEGS students, staff and families marched through the streets of Armidale to honour those who served and those who never came home.
To march is to remember. To stand in formation, heads held high, in the streets of our community β is to say clearly that we have not forgotten. That we will never forget.
We are so proud of every student who represented NEGS with such grace and dignity at today's ANZAC Day commemoration. The way you carried yourselves β and the wreath you laid β was a tribute worthy of the occasion.
To our veterans and their families β thank you. From the NEGS community, with deep gratitude and respect.
Lest We Forget.

Today, our NEGS community came together in chapel for our ANZAC Day service β a quiet and meaningful moment to pause, reflect, and honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served Australia and New Zealand.
Seeing our students gathered in this beautiful space, heads bowed in remembrance, is a powerful reminder of why we mark this day together as a community.
We will remember them. πΏ
Lest we forget.

They said it better than we ever could. π
Welcome back to Term 2 at NEGS! Today our Junior School boys and girls walked back through the gates β curious, smiling and apparently very, very ready. π
From the little ones clutching their handmade signs to the older students already deep in focus at their desks β the energy in our classrooms this morning was everything. There is truly nothing quite like a first day back.
Here's to a wonderful Term 2 ahead. π
