🚓 Armidale Police Visit – Preschool

Last but certainly not least, it was our Preschool children’s turn to spend some time with Marcus from Armidale Police!

The children were full of questions and curiosity as Marcus showed them the police car and talked about his role in keeping our community safe.

Of course, we couldn’t finish the visit without a little bit of fun! Liana found herself being chased down before being handcuffed and “arrested”, while Ollie took on the very important job of arresting Liv too! 👮‍♂️😂

What a fun and interactive learning opportunity for our Preschool children, encouraging conversations about community safety, the role of police officers and the people who help us in our community.

A huge thank you again to Marcus for making this experience so engaging and memorable for our children! 🚓💙

🚓 Armidale Police Visit – Middle Rock

It was Middle Rock’s turn to meet Marcus and explore the police car!

The children were full of curiosity as they looked at the police car, listened to the siren and learnt more about the different equipment Marcus carries with him as a police officer.

A wonderful hands-on learning experience that encouraged lots of conversations about safety, our community and the important role of police officers. 🚓

🚓 Armidale Police Visit – Boaties

Next up for our special police visit were our Boaties!

The children loved getting a closer look at the police car, watching the lights flash and hearing the siren. There were lots of curious little minds taking in everything Marcus had to show us!

Such a fun way to build connections with our local community and learn about the people who help keep us safe. 💙

🚓 Armidale Police Visit – Joey’s

What a beautiful opportunity for our whole TG’s centre as we welcomed Marcus from Armidale Police for a special community visit!

Our Joey’s were first to explore the police car, taking in the flashing lights, sounds and excitement of having a police officer visit TG’s.

Throughout his visit, Marcus spoke with the children about how police officers help keep us safe in our community, showed us some of the equipment he carries on his belt and, of course, gave everyone the chance to see the police car lights and hear the siren!

Thank you, Marcus, for taking the time to visit TG’s and create such a fun and meaningful learning experience for our children. 💙🚓

At TG’s, some of the biggest moments begin with the smallest steps.

Evacuation Week at TG’s! 🚨🔥

We’ve been busy at TG’s this week practising our emergency evacuation procedures!

Regular evacuation rehearsals support children to become familiar with what to do in the event of an emergency. Through calm and age-appropriate practice, children learn to listen to educators, follow directions, move safely to our designated meeting points and participate in roll calls.

These experiences help build children’s confidence, awareness and understanding of safety, while ensuring our educators are prepared to respond calmly and effectively if a real emergency occurs.

A big well done to our children and educators for taking part so calmly and confidently! ❤️

Alannah, Bri & Gayle recently completed some valuable Leadership Training, covering a wide range of topics with a strong focus on empowering growth and development within our teams.

The training explored the difference between a fixed and growth mindset, along with practical techniques for strengthening professional relationships and continuing to build trust, respect and connection within our workplace culture.

It was a great opportunity to reflect on our own leadership, challenge our thinking and bring back fresh ideas and strategies to share with our wider Leadership Team.

We’re excited to put this learning into practice as we continue to grow our leaders, empower our educators and create a positive culture where everyone feels valued, supported and encouraged to thrive. 💛🌱

Our preschool children had the best time exploring, learning, and making new memories at NEGS Mini Adventures! 🌟

Thank you to the amazing team at NEGS for providing such a fun, engaging, and welcoming experience. The children loved listening to stories, making music, playing games, and spending time with the fantastic Year 6 students, who were wonderful role models throughout the morning.
