Congratulations to IALF Bali and Universitas Nusa Cendana recently signed a renewal of the MoU and MoA between both institutions in implementing the ELTA (English Language Training Assistance) program hosted at the UNDANA campus.

The MoU and MoA were signed by UNDANA Rector, Dr. drh. Maxs U.E. Sanam, M.Sc and Caroline Bentley, Manager, IALF Bali.

IALF is an Australia Awards Partner selected to implement the ELTA program throughout various regions in Indonesia, such as NTT and NTB, Papua, Papua Barat, Maluku, and Maluku Utara.

The 3rd ISEPROLOCAL is a virtual international seminar to present research results and to analyse current conditions and perspectives in agriculture. Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, East Java, Indonesia, 8-15 August 2022

After three years of being stuck in Australia due to COVID travel restrictions, Dr Paul Kristiansen (Associate Professor of Agricultural Systems, Deputy Associate Dean Research School of Environmental and Rural Science, Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law University of New England ) has been invited to participate in the Summer Course on Agroecosystem and Agroecology Design and Analysis, hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia (UB).

The course coordinator, Dr Uma Khumairoh, used her vast global network to bring together teachers from the Netherlands, South Africa, China, Philippines, Costa Rica and Australia. The course included a range of lectures, discussions and field trips related to agroecology, farming systems design, innovations in greenhouse technologies, circular agriculture, social research and farmer engagement.

About 50 students attended the course in person, plus a similar number online, with students coming from over ten countries, predominantly Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Suli Hakim Dalle, UNE’s Indonesia Business Manager, Joined "Nobar" with the OZ Alumni in Makassar City on Saturday, 20th August 2022 and celebrated the 10th-anniversary screening of "The Sapphires". The film tells the story of the McCrae sisters, four talented Australian indigenous singers from Victoria whose biggest dream is to become as famous as their Motown idols.

The Event was attended by Consul-General Ms Bronwyn Robbins and The Rector of University Hasanuddin, Prof. Dr Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc
