The momentum is building, but we still have a long way to go 💗

Every donation made so far during August Dignity Drive is helping provide dignity and support to people doing it tough, and we are incredibly grateful.

But we’re not there yet.

Our charity partners are relying on these donations, and there are still thousands of women, girls and people who menstruate counting on us this month.

Three in five women have struggled to afford period products at some point in their life, and that's why our Dignity Drive matters.

If you’re heading to the shops this week, please consider adding an extra pack of period products or incontinence aids to your trolley and dropping them into one of our pink collection boxes at Woolworths Supermarkets or participating businesses nationwide.

Together, we can keep the momentum going and help ensure no one misses out on dignity.

💜 We're Proud to Support Share the Dignity! 💜

This August, our centre is partnering with Share the Dignity to help support women, girls and people experiencing period poverty in our community.

Throughout the month, we'll have a collection box (Painted pink by our very own clever pre-schoolers!) in our foyer for donations of new, unopened period products, including:

Sanitary pads

Tampons

Liners

Period underwear

Menstrual cups

Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a real difference to someone in need.

As an early learning community, we value kindness, compassion and supporting those around us. We'd love for our families to join us in making a positive impact this month.

If you're able to contribute, simply place your donation in the collection box during August.

Our August calendar is now available, and we have a month full of meaningful learning experiences and celebrations planned for the children.

✨ Next week, we're excited to celebrate:

😊 Happiness Happens Month begins, encouraging kindness, positivity and connection.

🖤💛❤️ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day on Tuesday 4 August, celebrating the strengths, cultures and voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children through meaningful, child-led experiences.

🦷 Dental Health Week, where children will explore healthy habits through fun, hands-on learning experiences.

🌱 Early Learning Matters Week, recognising the important role early childhood education plays in children's learning, development and wellbeing.

👖 Jeans for Genes Day (Wednesday 5 – Friday 7 August). Children and families are invited to wear their favourite jeans and, if you wish, make a gold coin donation to support this wonderful cause.

Throughout August, we'll also be supporting Share the Dignity's Period Product Collection. Keep an eye out for a separate post with more information about how you can get involved.

As always, our experiences will be guided by the children's interests and ideas, ensuring they remain meaningful, engaging and child-led.

This is a friendly reminder that we are hosting a PJ week next week for The Pyjama Foundation, and helping raise money for kids within the foster system. Any donation is appreciated and you only need to donate once during the whole week, but the kids can wear PJ’s all week. Please make sure they still have warm clothing and appropriate footwear for playing in the yard.

Feel free to drop of your children and donate to this worthy cause and grab a plate of morning tea to eat at your own leisure during the day.

It will be $5 for a plate of mixed goodies or a donation of how ever much you would like.

The thing is, your donation will make a real difference.

It’ll help fund world-class cancer research, which has already increased cancer survival rates from 49% in the 1980s to 71% today.

This week we are starting off tomorrow with Firefighters Day and Stars Wars Day, feel free to dress your child as a firefighter or as a character from Star Wars.

We also have Do it for Dolly on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, don’t forget to make a donation and help us to raise funds to help raise awareness, spark conversations, and support young people impacted by bullying.
