Armadale Early Learning Centre

Armadale Early Learning Centre is a not-for-profit Community run Kindergarten specialising in three and four year old programs.

Armadale Early Learning Centre is a not-for-profit community based kindergarten for three and four year olds, managed by a committee of volunteers. Children at Armadale Early Learning Centre have the opportunity to extend their skills and knowledge, and to prepare themselves for the larger world to come. We aim to make this experience as happy as possible. We believe that play is the most significant way for children to learn and we link the concept of play with friendship and collaboration. Appropriate, respectful and constructive behaviour is encouraged. We aim to prepare children in all aspects of development so they are ready for school and for life. We work to develop and extend individual children socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We promote positive attitudes by stimulating the children’s interests and awareness of themselves and of others through the program providing challenging materials and emotional support based on interests and needs of each child.

Last Friday, our kinder children enjoyed a First Nations incursion exploring music, dance, and art 🎶

They listened to the didgeridoo (Yidaki) and guessed Australian animals from its sounds, then used their bodies to act them out 🦅

The children also tapped along with clap-sticks and learned about traditional painting using ochre and charcoal. A beautiful hands-on experience that fostered curiosity, respect, and appreciation for First Nations culture.
