Armadale Early Learning Centre is a not-for-profit Community run Kindergarten specialising in three and four year old programs.

Armadale Early Learning Centre is a not-for-profit community based kindergarten for three and four year olds, managed by a committee of volunteers. Children at Armadale Early Learning Centre have the opportunity to extend their skills and knowledge, and to prepare themselves for the larger world to come. We aim to make this experience as happy as possible. We believe that play is the most signific

ant way for children to learn and we link the concept of play with friendship and collaboration. Appropriate, respectful and constructive behaviour is encouraged. We aim to prepare children in all aspects of development so they are ready for school and for life. We work to develop and extend individual children socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We promote positive attitudes by stimulating the children’s interests and awareness of themselves and of others through the program providing challenging materials and emotional support based on interests and needs of each child.

Last Friday, our kinder children enjoyed a First Nations incursion exploring music, dance, and art 🎶

They listened to the didgeridoo (Yidaki) and guessed Australian animals from its sounds, then used their bodies to act them out 🦅

The children also tapped along with clap-sticks and learned about traditional painting using ochre and charcoal. A beautiful hands-on experience that fostered curiosity, respect, and appreciation for First Nations culture.

Harmony Week at AELC 🧡

We’ve been exploring what makes each of us unique and special. We shared conversations about our similarities and differences and enjoyed reading “It’s Okay to Be Different” by Todd Parr.

The children expressed themselves creatively by making their own people cutouts - celebrating who they are and what makes them different.

We’re looking forward to continuing these conversations and celebrating diversity throughout the term.

🎒 Kinder Kits have arrived at AELC!

We’re excited to share that Kinder Kits for Victorian Three-Year-Old Kindergarten are now available!

Each Kinder Kit is a special backpack filled with books, toys and fun activities designed especially for 3-year-olds to enjoy at home with their families.

All children starting funded Three-Year-Old Kindergarten in Victoria in 2026 are eligible to receive a kit.

The Kinder Kits celebrate the power of learning through play. Every item has been carefully selected to support important early learning outcomes, helping children to:

✨ Develop a strong sense of identity
🌏 Connect with and contribute to their world
💛 Build a strong sense of wellbeing
📚 Become confident and involved learners
💬 Grow as effective communicators

These kits are a wonderful way to support your child’s learning journey at home while having fun together as a family.

We’re thrilled to share that Armadale Early Learning Centre is part of the Grill’d Local Matters charity jar program at Grill’d Malvern this month! 🎉

Here’s how it works:
👉 Every time you buy a meal at Grill’d Malvern you’ll receive a token.
👉 Pop your token in the AELC jar to vote for our kinder.
👉 The community group with the most tokens wins the top prize! 🏆

✨ What can we win?
Grill’d donates $500 each month back into the local community - with $300 going to the group with the most tokens, and $100 each to the runners-up. Every token counts and every group still receives a donation just for being part of the program!

This is such a simple way to support AELC while enjoying your favourite burgers!
