The Under 15s RAP basketball team competed in their annual tournament in Griffith on Friday. After a couple of injuries in the lead up, the boys were left with 5 players, with each playing the entirety of the 3 games, which was over 90 mins of basketball across the day. Unfortunately, they didn't come out with a win, but came very close against Leeton High, losing by 1 point.
Congrats to Jai, Will, Eli, Memphis & Daniel for stepping up on the day! Great effort!

Barellan Central School hosted a successful Study Day in Term 2, providing Year 11 and 12 students with interactive lessons led by their RAP teachers. Year 10 students had the exciting opportunity to meet the team from Charles Sturt University and explore what university life is like. Additionally, TAFE NSW representatives were on hand to introduce students to a variety of TAFE courses available for next year. It was a highly engaging and informative day for all involved.

On Wednesday, 10th June, students from Years 9 to 12 across all RAP schools had the fantastic opportunity to attend the Western Riverina Careers Expo in Leeton. The event featured a wide range of exhibitors including universities, TAFE, the Australian Defence Force, local businesses, Police force and providers for traineeships and apprenticeships.

Our students were highly engaged and proactive throughout the day, taking full advantage of the resources and information available. Their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions demonstrated a genuine commitment to exploring future post-school pathways.

We commend all students for their outstanding participation and look forward to seeing how they use the knowledge gained to shape their career journeys.

RAP Albury Industry Tour 2026

Last week, 38 of our Year 11 and 12 students participated in an industry tour in Albury. The students visited businesses across a range of sectors including hospitality, engineering, fabrication, healthcare, automotive, motorsports, and manufacturing. During the tour, they explored various career pathways and gained valuable insights into these industries.

The students also explored possibilities of trades within the Australian Defence Force (ADF), further expanding their understanding of diverse career options.

In addition, students had the opportunity to visit La Trobe University, Charles Sturt University, and TAFE, further broadening their understanding of educational options and future study opportunities.
