A huge thank you to CMV Group for their generous donation of bikes and helmets to Ardmona Primary School 🚴‍♀️

Brody and Anthony from CMV and our Executive Officer Amy visited the school to gift students their bikes! The school community was incredibly grateful for the support, which will help encourage safe and active learning opportunities for years to come.

The school has also secured a grant to build a dedicated bike track, enabling the delivery of bike safety and education programs. We're looking forward to returning once the track is completed to see the bikes in action🚲🛻

A huge thank you to one of our talented Year 1 students, who helped us get one of our doors working again! 👏

After removing the old doorknob and re-securing the door latch, the door now opens and closes smoothly once more. It’s wonderful to see our students using their problem-solving skills and taking pride in helping around the school. Great work! 🔧

Big day at Ardmona! Firstly, the students were super excited to receive their new navy blue school pants.

“I love the pants!” one student said.

“They’re really comfy and warm,” another shared.

And my personal favourite: “I feel like I can learn 20% better because of my new pants!” (I swear they actually said that… no cap!)

They look fantastic, and most importantly, the students are warm, comfortable, and ready for learning.

Secondly, we had the Shepparton Art Museum Van - SAM Van out to visit Ardmona 2nd year in a row. They delivered an engaging incursion featuring a curated selection of artworks and objects connected to key concepts and artists from Facing Modernity: Degas to Picasso. Students thoroughly enjoyed exploring the world of art and learning about influential artists before creating their own surrealist melting clocks inspired by Salvador Dalí. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that sparked creativity and imagination across the school.

I wonder what next week will bring??!!

Reminder that tomorrow is Hot Food Friday! 🍕

Last week we all enjoyed a surprise family-style dining experience in the staff kitchen while the food warmer did its thing!

Please remind your children to bring something that can be heated in the food warmer for lunch tomorrow.

A special shout-out to the boys, whose enthusiastic approach to Hot Food Friday resulted in a few spills and a rather impressive mess last week. As a result, they have officially been appointed to the Hot Food Friday Cleanup Crew tomorrow! 😄

We look forward to another delicious Hot Food Friday tomorrow!

A huge thank you to Allan, one of our wonderful parents, for generously giving up an hour of his time to repair and secure two of the school’s doors. Thanks to Allan, we can now lock them properly again.

We have also been busy cleaning, organising, and setting up the second portable classroom ready for our F–2 students next semester. A big thank you to Mr Peacock’s wife, Jennifer for installing the TV wall mount, and to Mr Walton and Ms Sowter for helping lift what can only be described as an “Olympic weight category” television onto the frame safely. 📺💪

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to offer their time, skills, and support to help improve our school while also saving valuable funds that can go straight back into supporting our students.

Next steps: repainting the classroom walls 🎨

Last Tuesday, our students had the exciting opportunity to welcome the police to our school.

The officers spoke to the students about the important jobs and responsibilities they carry out in our community and answered lots of thoughtful questions from our curious kids!

The students really loved exploring the police cars, trying on the police vests, and testing their speed against the speed cameras. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a few very competitive runners - many of them wanted to go again to beat their last time!

A big thank you to the officers for taking the time to visit us and create such a fun and engaging learning experience for our students.

Sharon O'Connell and the students enjoyed harvesting and cooking eggplant parmi’s on Thursday.

A big thank you to Mr Peacock’s mother-in-law, Anne Game, for providing the eggplant plant at the beginning of the year.

The students loved watering it, watching it grow, and finally turning it into something delicious!
