Our visit to the local police station provided the Pre- Prep children with a valuable opportunity to learn about the important role police officers play in keeping our community safe.
This excursion supported the children's understanding of community helpers, encouraged curiosity through hands-on experiences, and fostered positive connections with the local police service in a fun and meaningful way.

Join our team and help nourish young minds!

Ararat Early Learning Centre is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic Casual Cook to join our friendly team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious meals and has experience cooking for larger groups.

About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Essential Requirements

* Experience cooking for large numbers (commercial kitchen or similar experience preferred)
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current National Police Check
* Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* A positive, reliable and flexible attitude

Desirable

* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience in an early childhood, school or aged care setting
* Understanding of children’s nutritional requirements
