Today Coach Dave joined us for a fun touch footy session! The children practised running and dodging the tackle bag while trying to score a try without being touched.

They also had a go at kicking the ball over the goal posts using the kicking tee. We then played a team game, with children taking turns being tippers vs working together to get the ball to the touchline.

To finish, the children practised diving onto the crash mat while holding the ball safely under their arms.

It was a fun morning filled with movement, teamwork and lots of smiles! 😊🏉

Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

💜 Safe sleep is everyone's responsibility, and it's always a priority.

Benefits of Making Playdough

- Maths and Science: Measuring ingredients, counting cups, and pouring teach volume, quantities, and basic math.

- Following Directions: Mixing ingredients teaches children how to listen to and follow a sequence of steps.

- Cause and Effect: Watching dry ingredients turn into a soft dough helps children understand scientific changes in textures and states of matter.

Children develop problem-solving skills, persistence and confidence through completing puzzles, using trial and error to explore how pieces connect and making adjustments when needed. They also learn to seek and accept support when challenges arise.
Puzzle experiences strengthen fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness and visual discrimination. Body puzzles also extend children’s understanding of the human body, including the skeleton, muscles and internal organs, while encouraging curiosity and further exploration.
Successfully completing challenging puzzles supports children’s sense of achievement, independence and confidence, fostering a positive attitude towards learning and challenge.

It was wonderful to see so many dads, grandads and special people spending time with the children, sharing lots of smiles, laughter and special moments together.

Today is about celebrating YOU and the amazing difference you make every single day.
Thank you for the care, patience, laughter, creativity and love you bring to our children and families. What you do goes far beyond teaching, you create safe spaces, build confidence, nurture little minds, celebrate milestones and form relationships that can stay with children for a lifetime.
I am incredibly grateful for the passion and commitment you all bring to our centre and for the way you support one another through the busy, challenging and wonderful moments that come with what we do.
