A huge thank you to Anna Bay Public School for inviting our preschoolers to attend your wonderful Book Week Parade today!
The children had an absolutely amazing time, proudly joining in the celebrations and soaking up all the excitement. Even a little rain on the walk back to the centre couldn’t dampen their spirits!
They returned a little wet but full of smiles, stories and excitement, the energy was absolutely palpable!
Thank you for including us and helping make Book Week such a memorable experience for our preschoolers.

Day 2 of Book Week! 📚

Another fantastic day filled with amazing stories, wonderful costumes and lots of Book Week fun!
We absolutely loved seeing the creativity and excitement as the children brought some of their favourite characters and stories to life.

The children made their very own rainbow toast using white bread, colourful milk, cotton buds, butter and a toaster. The children began by choosing different colours for their toast art. Using cotton buds, they carefully dabbed coloured milk onto the white milk bread, creating colourful patterns and rainbow designs.

The rainbow toast experiment encouraged the children to predict, observe, investigate and discuss. It combined sensory exploration with scientific thinking and provided a meaningful, hands-on way to celebrate Science Week.

Beanies for Brain Cancer Awareness

Our children and educators proudly wore their beanies to show their support and raise awareness for brain cancer.
It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and wearing their beanies to school for such an important cause. Every beanie helps start a conversation and build awareness! ✨

Strong relationships are the foundation for confident, curious learners 💛

Goodstart’s key educator approach ensures every child is known, supported and feels safe - through consistent, nurturing connections with educators and meaningful partnerships with families. These bonds help build wellbeing, resilience and a true sense of belonging from day one.

Spinning tops are not only beneficial for developing fine motor skills but also for enhancing cognitive and emotional development in children. Here are some of the key benefits of spinning tops for children:

Fine Motor Skills: Spinning tops require precise grip and control, which helps in developing fine motor skills and hand strength.

Cognitive Development: The act of spinning a top can help children learn cause and effect, as they observe how the top spins when they push or pull it.

Sensory Stimulation: Spinning tops stimulate the vestibular system, supporting balance, posture, and sensory regulation.

Creativity and Imagination: Spinning tops encourage open-ended play, sparking curiosity and imaginative scenarios.

These benefits make spinning tops a valuable addition to any child's space, providing a holistic development experience that goes beyond simple physical play.
