FREE workshop for parents and carers of 0-6 years This interactive session will explore why play is essential in the early years, and how simple, everyday play builds learning, wellbeing and strong relationships.

In this interactive, family‑friendly session, you’ll:

🔹 get hands‑on with a range of play experiences that support brain development, communication and wellbeing

🔹experience different types of play including storytelling, sensory, connecting and construction play

🔹learn how simple, low‑cost household items can become powerful play resources

🔹understand how play helps children build confidence, social skills and process emotions and big changes

🔹build confidence in knowing when to join your child’s play and when to step back and observe.

ANZAC DAY
Today, Ms Kim represented the educators and children from Altona Meadows Kindergarten and placed our poppy wreath which we all made together at the Memorial at the Altona Civic Centre Dawn Service.
Over the past week, the children have been learning about appreciation and respect for those who served in the war including the many who sacrificed their lives so that we can enjoy peace today.
Through stories, conversations, and creating our wreath together, the children are learning to develop a gentle understanding of gratitude, bravery, and remembrance.

**Lest we forget**

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
