Alstonville Wollongbar Fun Run Challenge

We were honoured, humbled and a little bit excited to receive a nomination for Community Event of the Year at Ballina Shire Council's Australia Day Awards. Especially as we've only been doing this for two years. It was a great way to recognise our committee members' efforts and the countless hours they volunteer to make the day a success. Congratulations to the winners of each category this year. There were some incredible nominees and we're honoured to have been amongst them. Thank you to our sponsors over the last two years and all the local businesses, community groups and people who have helped make it a success each year. Bring on 2026!

The amazing Ballina Buslines have provided us with a FREE shuttle bus! 🚌

Why drive when you can catch the shuttle and enjoy the event without the worries of parking! Park near one of the designated bus stops and jump on the FREE shuttle bus to the event.

A FREE shuttle bus will be operating between Wollongbar and Alstonville on Sunday 14th September for those coming to the fun run! This is a fantastic way to avoid the traffic and parking nightmare around the school area as parking will be limited.

There will be five bus runs to the event, arriving at AHS at 6.40am, 7.40am, 8.20am, 9.00am and 9.40am.
Then five departing the event at 8.20am, 9.00am, 10.30am, 11.15am and 12.00pm.

We're at Alstonville Shopping Plaza tonight until 6pm, and tomorrow 8-10.30am for bib collection and last minute registrations for those who missed the online rego. This legend has entered the 10km, 5km, and 3km runs! 👀😮💪🏃🧡 Come on down, grab your bib, register and say g'day.
