Our Year 9, 11 and 12 Drama students travelled to the Gold Coast for a physical theatre workshop with international performer Jacinta Yelland, trained at Brisbane's renowned Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre Company.
Mr Thomas (Relieving HT English) and Ms Kocheff (English) were so proud of their efforts in challenging practical experiences, showing courage and integrity. Students pushed themselves with some brilliant ensemble work, we can't wait to see it on stage at our Senior Drama night next term.

Week 8 saw our Year 10 English students head to QPAC for Shake & Stir Theatre Co.'s production of Macbeth.
The production brought Shakespeare's tragedy to life through contemporary staging, dramatic lighting, and multimedia elements, while retaining the original language. A highlight for students was the unexpected inclusion of Travis Scott's music, which drew an audible buzz from the crowd and helped bridge the gap between a 400-year-old text and the world they know.
Our Year 10 cohort were an absolute credit to themselves and the school throughout the day. Staff were genuinely impressed by the maturity and engagement on display.
Experiences like this bring classroom learning to life, and we can't wait to see the impact on students' study of Macbeth in the weeks ahead.
Scott Thomas (Head of English & Drama rel.)
