Our Year 11 Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation (SLR) and Health and Movement Science (HMS) students are currently enjoying an educational excursion to Australia’s Snowy Mountains under the guidance of their PDHPE teachers. This trip gives them the chance to connect what they’ve learned in class with real-world experiences, exploring areas like movement analysis, skill development, fitness, and teamwork. It’s great to see learning happening in such a different environment, supporting both their personal growth and understanding. We look forward to hearing more about their experiences when they return.

The Safer Driver Course is delivered by qualified trainers and experienced driving instructors. The course is broken down into two (2) Modules:

Module one
A three-hour facilitated group discussion on how to manage risks on the road. This will involve a maximum of twelve participants and will be delivered by a facilitator.
Module two
A two-hour in-vehicle coaching session to develop low-risk driving strategies. This will involve two participants and a coach to be held in Byron Bay.
(Steffie will organise Module 2 when you attend Module 1).

To attend the course learner drivers need to:
have a valid learner licence
be under 25
have completed at least 50 log book hours of on-road driving (excluding any 3 for 1 bonus hours)
have included night driving in some of those hours.
Fee: $140
