What an incredible couple of days our Year 3 and Year 4 students had at Kangaroobie in Princetown last week! 🌿

Our students embraced every opportunity to get involved, challenge themselves and have fun, taking part in an action-packed program that included Farm Activities, Game of Life or Death, Kangaroobie Survivor, an Obstacle Course and a Night Walk. From working together and supporting one another to stepping outside their comfort zones and trying something new, there were plenty of opportunities for our campers to learn, grow and make memories along the way. ✨

The adventure continued with a visit to the spectacular 12 Apostles before a very welcome stop at Timboon Fine Ice Cream for a well-deserved treat! 🍦

It was wonderful to see our students enjoying themselves, building friendships and creating shared experiences that they will no doubt talk about for years to come. We are sure this camp will hold a very special place in their memories for a long time to come.🤍

A huge thank you to our staff and helpers for giving their time, energy and care to make the camp such a positive and memorable experience for our students. We would also like to extend a very big thank you to the fantastic team at Kangaroobie Camp for everything they did throughout our stay. 👏

Our Foundation - Year 2 students were very excited to attend the fabulous production of 🆂🅷🆁🅴🅺 at Brauer College.

The performance showcased the unbelievable talent, creativity and dedication of the students involved. From the singing and dancing, to the acting, costumes and impressive production, there was so much for our students to enjoy. It was wonderful to see our younger students completely captivated by the performance and thoroughly enjoying the experience. ✨

Our F-2 students were beautifully behaved throughout the performance. They were respectful, attentive and enthusiastic audience members, demonstrating our school values and making us incredibly proud. 👏

A huge congratulations to the talented students and staff involved in bringing SHREK to the stage. The cast included past ADPS students Sophie Clarke and Oliver Goodall. 🌟

It was a wonderful production and an experience that our students will remember for a long time.

On Monday, our students brought their favourite book characters to life for Book Week, transforming our school into a wonderful world of imagination, creativity and adventure! ✨

From much loved classics to modern favourites, we were treated to an incredible array of characters and costumes. Our students looked amazing, and it was fantastic to see them proudly embracing the characters and stories that have captured their imaginations. 📖

A big thank you to all of our families and everyone who helped make the day so special. The creativity, time and effort that went into bringing these characters to life was incredible, and it certainly showed! 👏

𝑀𝒶𝓃𝑔𝒶 𝒜𝓇𝓉𝒾𝓈𝓉 𝐼𝓃𝒸𝓊𝓇𝓈𝒾𝑜𝓃

A.D.P.S students were treated to a fantastic incursion with manga artist and animator Kenny Chan, who has been sharing his love of manga, Japanese comics, animation and pop culture across Australia for more than 20 years. 🇯🇵✨

Kenny introduced students to the fun and creativity of drawing manga characters, teaching them simple techniques to create original characters and add personality and humour to their drawings. Students also learned about Japanese culture and the storytelling techniques behind manga. ✏️🎌

It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to get creative, develop their drawing skills and learn from an experienced manga artist. A big thank you to Kenny for an engaging and memorable incursion! 👏😊

On Thursday, our Year 3 and Year 4 students had the pleasure of visiting Warrnambool College to see their wonderful production of Matilda. 🎟️

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to experience this much-loved story, its memorable characters and brilliant music brought to life on stage. They thoroughly enjoyed the performance and were captivated by the talent, energy and enthusiasm of the cast. ✨

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Warrnambool College for inviting our students to attend. We also commend all of the performers and staff involved for the incredible effort, dedication and talent that went into creating such a fantastic production. 👏

We are looking forward to celebrating Book Week at ADPS! Students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Monday 24th August.

Whether it’s a classic storybook character, a magical hero, or a much loved favourite, we cannot wait to see our school filled with creativity, imagination, and a love of reading. 📚 📖 📚

Today our students celebrated Principals’ Day with handmade cards, thoughtful gifts, and a special announcement at assembly, while staff also acknowledged Mr Young with a special morning tea in recognition of his leadership, care, and dedication to our school community. 💛💚

𝓣𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓴 𝓨𝓸𝓾, 𝓜𝓻𝓼 𝓓𝓮𝓫 𝓗𝓲𝓵𝓵

After 25 years of dedicated service to the Allansford and District Primary School community, we recently farewelled Mrs Deb Hill as she begins her well-earned retirement.

Since joining our school in 2000, Deb has been a kind, caring and highly respected teacher whose commitment to the wellbeing and success of every student has left a lasting impact. Throughout her career, she consistently placed the needs of students, staff and families at the heart of everything she did, building strong relationships and creating a positive learning environment where children could thrive.

Deb's warmth, professionalism and unwavering dedication have made her an invaluable member of our school community. She has been a wonderful colleague, mentor and friend to many, and her contributions to ADPS over the past quarter of a century will be remembered with great appreciation.

On behalf of the students, staff and families at ADPS we sincerely thank Deb for her outstanding service and the difference she has made to the lives of so many young people.

We wish Deb every happiness, good health and many exciting adventures in her retirement. May this next chapter be filled with the time and opportunities to enjoy family, friends and all the things she loves most. She will always be a valued member of the ADPS family, and we hope she enjoys every moment of this well-deserved new journey.

Congratulations to Emmett on his recent competition at the Victorian State Cross Country Championships in Yarra Glen.

He competed in the 3km event and finished 29th out of 89 runners in the state. The course was muddy and slippery, making the performance even more impressive, with a time of 12:08.

Emmett is a dedicated runner who takes pride in his training and results. We’re very proud of his efforts. Well done, Emmett!
