This afternoon, our Year 4–6 students took part in a Cross Country course walk in preparation for next week's Cross Country Carnival.
Students walked the course around the fitness park before returning via the school oval, giving them the opportunity to become familiar with the route, understand the course layout, and build confidence ahead of the big event.
It was wonderful to see students embracing the challenge, enjoying the fresh air, and getting excited for the Cross Country on 12th June. We look forward to seeing everyone put their preparation into action next Friday

On 26 May, a group of our Year 6 students had the exciting opportunity to hear Australian of the Year, Katherine Bennell-Pegg, share her journey to becoming an astronaut. Students learned about the subjects and pathways that helped her achieve her goals, watched training videos, and even had the chance to ask questions—including Kai from our school!
The afternoon was spent at Scitech exploring interactive exhibits and learning about biohazards in our environment. A wonderful day of inspiration and discovery. Thank you to our P&C for supporting this fantastic experience.

Today Alkimos Beach Primary School proudly participated in National Walk Safely to School Day! Students from all year levels were encouraged to take part by walking safely from home to school.
A big thank you to our parents and carers for supporting the day and helping reinforce important road safety messages with their child(ren).
Students who lived too far away from Alkimos Beach PS joined the three Associate Principals and Mr Radaich for a community walk to school, meeting at the corner of Polar Lane before walking together through the suburbs, across parks, and finishing at the oval gate of the school.
It was wonderful to see so many students enjoying a healthy, active, and safe start to the school day. 🌟
