Desert Twang! Songwriter sessions at the Old Courthouse, here in Mparntwe, Alice Springs, are proving to be a great thing to do. But it's made so much more profound and meaningful when someone like Ned Jampijinpa Hargraves comes in and sings with all the culture, sorrow, spirit and knowledge that he brings and shares with us - gravitas. This little snippet is just a sketch of things we're working on. It's hauntingly beautiful while eerily profound considering we're sitting in the middle of an old courthouse, and recording music to bring to attention the plight of First Nations Australians - the most incarcerated people in the world.
