We are a Community non-for-profit centre, run be a parent based management committee. Where all parents are stack holders and have a say in their children’s learning. Early Childhood Educator

We are looking for a fulltime Early Childhood Educator to join our team at BNC, a not-for-profit 57 place service.

The Early Childhood Educator provides support to the Room Leader and other educators, to ensure high quality education, care and development for children and families engaged in the service. The Educator also assists in the planning, preparation and implementation of programs appropriate to the needs of the children in care.

Who you are:
•Diploma qualified in Early Childhood or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification, with minimum one year of working experience

•Reliable, motivated and a team player with good work ethic

•Sound knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)

•Ability to plan and implement a full planning cycle

•Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and team members

•Experience working in a multicultural team, preferably in Early Childhood setting

•Have a WWCC, Police Check, CPR, Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate, or willingness to obtain

Dear Families,

We would like to invite ALL Braitling Neighbourhood Centre (BNC) parents to attend the BNC Annual General Meeting. This is to be held on:

Date: Thursday 18th September, 2025

Time: 5:45 pm for a 6:00 pm commencement

Where: Braitling Neighbourhood Centre

The Annual General Meeting will include:

• Auditor's Report for the 2024 - 2025 financial year

• Election of members to the 2026 Management Committee

• Other Business

BNC is a committee run Centre, where parent representatives play a vital role in the management of the Centre. At each AGM, the committee opens up nominations in ALL positions. You can either nominate yourself or a fellow parent (please ensure they know you nominated them). Positions on the committee are:

• Chair

• Vice-Chair

• Treasurer

• Secretary

• Public Officer

• Up to 3 General members

If more than 1 Nomination/EOI is received for a position, a vote will then be cast for each position at the AGM to elect the new committee. These are all volunteers positions. By becoming part of the BNC Management Committee, this is an opportunity to BE A VOICE FOR PARENTS and have a say in how the Centre is run. It is an important role for our centre and we work very closely with Management. Our goal is to WORK AS A TEAM to ensure the future sustainability of our centre and to give our kids the best centre possible.

Please note that if you do not already hold one, you will need to obtain a Working With Children Clearance, obtain a police check and sign a confidentiality agreement.

Assistant Director
Braitling Neighbourhood Centre (BNC)

We are looking for an Assistant Director to join our team at BNC, a not-for-profit 57 place service. Full time or part time position available, from $36 per hour.
Opportunity for a Director Maternity leave cover for the right applicant.

The Assistant Director acts as the centres 2IC, collaborating closely with the centres Director. The Assistant Director will mentor and guide educators, float across the rooms to offer hands-on support to ensure smooth daily operations and support the operational requirements of the centre.

Who you are:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood (or working towards)
• Leadership experience in early childhood education, with a strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an approachable leadership style
• Knowledge of software systems and administration experience
• Understanding of regulations, policies and procedures relating to early learning
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and team members
• Experience working in a multicultural team, preferably in Early Childhood setting
• Have a WWCC, Police Check, CPR, Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate, or willingness to obtain
