CDU graduate turns family passion into international career | Charles Darwin University When Charles Darwin University graduand Thai Son Nguyen crosses the stage at this week’s Alice Springs graduation ceremony, he will celebrate more than a qualification.

Congratulations to Cadet Squad 23 who graduated from the Alice Springs Cadet program today. 🤩

The team gained qualifications including a Certificate III in Business from CDU as well as lifelong skills and experiences that will prepare them for a range of professions.

Congratulations and we wish you all the best in your future successes. 💫

This exhibition is an insight into an evolving arts practice. On show is the early stages of a project that depicts imagery drawn from memory, imagination and observation; imagery that is set in the desert and plays with ideas of intimacy.

Lilly is a visual artist and arts educator whose practice explores the non-verbal connections between people, place, and environment. Based in Mparntwe/ Alice Springs on Arrernte Country.

Last week CDU Alice Springs hosted the CDU Faculty of Health (FoH) Central Australia Engagement.

This event highlighted current opportunities for all health stakeholders in Central Australia including student placements and further education, as well as provided an update and road map for what to expect from the CDU Faculty of Health in Central Australia over the next year and beyond.

They also hosted two student engagement sessions for current High School students interested in studying health. The session offered an interactive Midwifery scenario and Hygiene for Theatre.

Join us in congratulating our very own CDU Education student Leela Kruger who was recognised at this week's CDU Faculty of Arts & Society Student Awards for her Outstanding Academic Achievement in the Remote Aboriginal Teacher Education (RATE) Program 🙌
Leela is a proud Pertame and Arrernte woman who was born and raised in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Her journey in education has been shaped by both her lived experience and her passion for creating change in our community.

The Barkly Operations Coordinator supports the Strategic Projects Manager Central Australia & Barkly and the Manager VET Strategic Programs in growing and strengthening CDU’s operations and community relationships in the Barkly, through strong external and internal stakeholder engagement and delivery coordination.

The Barkly Operations Coordinator will support CDU TAFE to identify and operationalise VET business opportunities, coordinate the development of a short course program with CDU TAFE and Faculties; and identify and operationalise community engagement opportunities; in the Barkly region (the region), ensuring CDU is working with community to meet community needs.

The role will also support students identify pathways and achieve outcomes.
