This week, our colour focus has been orange! 🍊
The children explored the colour through hands-on learning as they helped make fresh orange juice. They enjoyed squeezing the oranges, watching the juice pour out and tasting their delicious creation together. This experience supported fine motor skills, sensory exploration and conversations about healthy foods.

Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea 🌸

The preschool children strengthened their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as they carefully sorted different pasta shapes. This experience encouraged concentration, problem-solving and early classification skills as the children noticed similarities and differences in size, shape and texture.

Fine motor skills are such an important part of early childhood development. Through everyday play—like scooping, threading, painting, using tongs, and playdough—children are strengthening the small muscles in their hands and fingers.

It might look like just play… but it’s all leading towards that confident pencil grasp when the time is right ✨

Healthy Harold Visit 🦒💛

Today we had a visit from Healthy Harold!

The children explored big feelings, practiced calming breathing techniques, and learned how to be kind, supportive friends 🫶

Such a fun and meaningful way to build our social and emotional skills 🦒✨

Today the children explored green paint using bunched-up tissues to create broccoli-like patterns. As they stamped and pressed the tissue onto the paper, they experimented with texture, shape and colour while strengthening their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Science experiment fun 🔬🎈

The children explored static electricity by rubbing balloons on their hair and watching the magic happen! Hair stood up, balloons stuck, and there were lots of giggles along the way.
