Central Sydney Intensive English High School

We have had some fantastic excursions already this term with our English trip to ‘Sculptures by the Sea’ and our HSIE trip to the ‘Maritime Museum’, with more coming soon!

Last Friday, Central Sydney hosted the NSW Intensive English Talent Showcase where students from all NSW Department of Education New Arrival Program schools performed for an audience of 550 people. Congratulations to all schools and students who attended it was a fantastic day!

We held our cross country yesterday!

It was fantastic to see so many students participating and a big congratulations to our age group winners.

🧡Harmony Day🧡

We were proud to host staff and students from Beverley Hills, Kogarah Intensive English Centre and Marrickville Intensive English Centre at our school to celebrate Harmony Day.

The day began with an assembly where students from each school performed a number of cultural and musical items.

After the assembly, students and staff connected over food and sweets and participated in friendly games of basketball, volleyball and karaoke.

New friendships were made and staff and students connected across cultures and their recent experiences in their new country.

Last week, our Girls Basketball team played a friendly against Kogarah Intensive English Centre. We missed out on the win, but the team work and passion from all players was outstanding. Congratulations to both teams!

Our students did a fantastic job hosting and performing at our International Women's Day assembly.

This week, we have been celebrating the achievements of women and recognising diversity, equity and inclusion.

We had a fabulous start to our school year with our week 3 assembly. Students from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Iran, Taiwan, Mongolia and Colombia performed for our school community.
