ππ Osprey Cup 2026 ππ
What a fantastic day of volleyball!
Today, our senior students proudly represented Alexandra Hills State Primary School at the Osprey Cup Volleyball Competition, joining forces with students from the South-East Brisbane Steiner School to form a combined team.
Throughout the day, our students demonstrated outstanding courtesy, courage and sportsmanship, supporting one another, encouraging their teammates and competing with determination and pride. They were wonderful ambassadors for our school community.
A special congratulations to our Girls Volleyball Team, who finished the day in 3rd place β a terrific achievement against strong competition! π₯
We are also incredibly proud of Sienna, who was awarded the prestigious Best & Fairest Award, as voted by the referees. This award recognises not only skill, but also respect, teamwork and positive sportsmanship β qualities Sienna displayed throughout the competition. π
Thank you to all students who represented Alex Hills today. You should be very proud of the way you conducted yourselves both on and off the court.
Go Team Alex Hills! πβ€οΈ

π§οΈ ATHLETICS CARNIVAL POSTPONED π§οΈ
Unfortunately, due to the wet weather and current field conditions, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow's Athletics/Sports Carnival.
We know this news will be disappointing for our students, staff and families, who have been eagerly looking forward to a day of fun, participation and house spirit. However, the safety of our students and the condition of our grounds must come first.
π
New Date: Thursday 18 June 2026
All event details will remain the same, with students encouraged to wear their house colours:
π΄ Wattle
π΅ Banksia
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. The good news is that this gives everyone an extra week to practise their running, cheering and house chants!
Let's hope for blue skies and sunshine next Thursday! βοΈπββοΈπββοΈ

ππ§ On your marks, get set... SIZZLE! π§π
Our amazing P&C will be firing up the barbecue and serving up plenty of sweet treats at this week's Athletics Carnival! Whether you're cheering from the sidelines, sprinting down the track, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, be sure to stop by and support our school community.
And if you have a spare hour or two to lend a hand, the P&C would love some extra volunteers. Many hands make light work (and leave more time for eating brownies π).
See you at the carnival! β€οΈπ

πβ€οΈ A huge week ahead at Alexandra Hills State Primary School! β€οΈπ
This week we celebrate two very special events in our school community.
π Support Staff Appreciation Week π
Behind every great school is an incredible team of people who work tirelessly to support our students, staff and families. This week we'd love to shine a spotlight on our amazing support staff β Mrs Moman, Mrs Hayter, Gav the Groundsman and our wonderful cleaning team.
Whether they're greeting families in the office, keeping our grounds looking beautiful, supporting the day-to-day running of the school, or making sure our learning spaces are clean and welcoming, they make a difference every single day.
π¬ We'd love our school community to help us celebrate them! Please leave a positive message, thank you or shout-out in the comments below. We'll be sharing your kind words with them throughout the week.
πββοΈπββοΈ Athletics Carnival β Wednesday 10 June πββοΈπββοΈ

π§ If you're not receiving our weekly newsletter each Friday, please contact the school office or drop in and see us so we can ensure we have your most up-to-date contact details on file.
