Congratulations to Aisling! 🎨👩‍🎨

Our Year 8 students made their way to Aldinga Community Centre this week to take in the SALA Exhibition, and among the standout pieces on display was artwork by our very own Aisling, created as part of her involvement in an Art Mentorship Program.

It was a proud moment for Aisling to see her work displayed alongside that of other talented young artists from across the region.

Well done, Aisling, and we're all looking forward to seeing where your artistic journey takes you next!

Exciting times on Galilee's BADGE worksite! Five of our students recently took part in an exclusive photoshoot with CESA and photographer Russell Millard for the Catholic Schools Open Week magazine. 📸🦺🗞

The image of Joseph (Reception) and Priya (Year 3) was selected to feature on the front cover, with Olivia (Year 4), Lucas (Year 5) and Lara (Year 9) also taking part in the photoshoot on the day.

The magazine was included as an insert in The Advertiser on Saturday, 8 August.

🏃‍♀️Our runners gave a fantastic performance at last Wednesday’s Adelaide Parklands SACPSSA Cross Country event.

🏃Congratulations to the 39 students who represented the College with such commitment; we're incredibly proud. Special mention to our Year 3 group for the strong turnout, and to our top finishers across all year levels!

Thank you to the parents and staff who supported our students on the day.

🍕🧩Our Term 3 Reception children and their families enjoyed a wonderful evening at our Mid-Year Reception Pizza & Games Night.

It was fantastic to see families getting to know one another while children continued building their friendships in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Events like these are a valuable opportunity for families to connect and strengthen the partnerships that support our students throughout their learning journey.

Thank you to Breeze Café for catering the evening and to all of our Reception families for coming along and helping to create such a warm and positive atmosphere.

We look forward to more opportunities to connect together throughout the year.💙

Year 6 students kicked off their first Tiny Vinnies session with Year 1s and 2s last week.💛

After a term of planning, they led the session themselves, beginning with a game and prayer before planting and blessing flowers in the Simplicity Garden. 👩‍🌾🌱🌻

Year 5 and Year 6 students launched this year’s Robotics Club, with a focus on building STEM and Digital Technologies skills ahead of the State RoboCup competition in Term 3! 🤖👏

Our students have made a fantastic start, developing key skills in coding, problem-solving and designing robots to meet specific requirements. It has been exciting to see their creativity, teamwork, and determination as they begin to bring their robot designs to life.🦾

We look forward to seeing even more exciting developments from the Robotics Club as students continue preparing for the State RoboCup competition!

⚽ Fourteen of our students travelled to Hamilton College to compete in the first round of the Year 7/8 SAPSASA Statewide Schools Soccer Knockout competition.

💙 While we were unable to secure a win, the team put in a tremendous effort throughout the day and continued to improve with each game.

The highlight of the competition was a thrilling match against Hamilton College. In a hard-fought contest, Galilee went down by just one point in the closing minutes of the second half.

Galilee proudly represented the College at the Year 7/8 SAPSASA AFL Knockout competition held at Willunga Oval on Monday. 🏈🏆

The team played three matches throughout the day against Victor Harbor High School, Encounter College and Willunga High School.

The students began the competition with a win over Victor Harbor High School, coming back after falling behind early with a strong second-half performance.

We then faced strong opposition from Encounter College and Willunga High School. While the results did not fall Galilee’s way, students continued to compete with determination and resilience throughout both matches.

There were many highlights across the day, including excellent passages of play, strong teamwork and a willingness to support one another both on and off the field. Students should be very proud of their efforts.

Before school. After school. School holidays. Our OSHC educators show up every time, creating safe spaces for our kids to feel included and free to be themselves.💛

They do so much more than "watch the kids"; they build relationships, nurture confidence, encourage independence and create the kind of environment where children genuinely want to be.

This year's theme says it best: Valuing Every OSHC Educator, Every Day.

To our amazing OSHC team - thank you for everything you do.
